On the construction of a digital transfer function from its real part on unit circle [PDF]
It is shown in this correspondence that the system function H(z) of a linear time invariant (LTI) causal digital filter with real impulse response coefficients can be obtained from the real part of its frequency response HR(ejω) given in the form of a ...

Prevalence and Trajectory of Household Material Hardship Among Children With Advanced Cancer
ABSTRACT Background/Objectives Families of children with advanced cancer living in poverty experience inferior outcomes including poor parent mental health and worse child quality of life. Household material hardship (HMH: food, housing, transportation, and/or utility insecurity) is a modifiable poverty exposure—and potential intervention target—that ...

Aerodynamic Admittance Function using Impulse Response Function Approach
An explanation described here is how the aerodynamic admittance function(AAF) is to derive by means of impulse response function(IMF) which is modified for two peaks (movement-induced and Karman Vortex-induced) intending to be able to deal with the response condition under higher reduced wind speed.

Transfer Functions from Sampled Impulse Responses
A mathematical formulation is developed for obtaining the frequency responses from known sampled impulse responses of linear dynamical systems. This is done by assuming a straight line approximation from one sampled point to the next and performing the usual Fourier Transformation for this interval.

Organoids in pediatric cancer research
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

In this study, a generic analysis of sensor impulse response effects on linearly filtered channel noise is presented to illustrate the resulting variations to the Cramèr–Rao lower bounds (CRLBs) of signal parameter estimators in signal processing and ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Nonlinear Impulse Response Functions and Local Projections
The goal of this paper is to extend the nonparametric estimation of Impulse Response Functions (IRF) by means of local projections in the nonlinear dynamic framework. We discuss the existence of a nonlinear autoregressive representation for Markov processes and explain how their IRFs are directly linked to the Nonlinear Local Projection (NLP), as in ...

We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...
