Research on the correction method of hydraulic fracturing in-situ stress testing based on MLP-KFold [PDF]

open access: yesGeoscientific Instrumentation, Methods and Data Systems
Hydraulic fracturing serves as a critical in-situ stress testing technique, where the accurate determination of rock fracture pressure and closure pressure in fracturing intervals is essential for precise in-situ stress estimation.

Tailored Hierarchical Porous Copper Architectures via Three Dimensional Printing and Pressure‐less Sintering for Next‐Generation Lithium‐Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A hierarchical porous copper current collector is fabricated via three‐dimensional printing combined with pressureless sintering to stabilize lithium metal anodes. The interconnected architecture lowers local current density, guides uniform Li deposition within pores, and suppresses dendrite growth.

Solid‐State Diffusion and Intermetallic Phase Formation in Roll‐Bonded Mg–Zn Composites With Kirigami‐Patterned Inlay

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Mg–Zn composites with a thickness of 0.21 mm were fabricated using roll bonding of a kirigami‐patterned Mg alloy inlay within a Zn matrix. Thermal activation following this process led to the formation of tailored intermetallic structures, which provided the composite with enhanced flexural strength.

Exploration and application of in-situ stress estimation method based on core disking phenomenon of boreholes

open access: yesDizhi lixue xuebao
Objective Rock core disking is a typical phenomenon that occurs in environments with high in-situ stress. The geometric characteristics and section shape of rock disking are related to the state of in-situ stress, and the site where this phenomenon ...

Integrated Application of Three In Situ Stress Measurement Techniques

open access: yes, 2011
The CSIRO overcoring stress relief and hydraulic fracturing methods are the most popular methods used for the measurement of in-situ stress at depth. One major advantage of the CSIRO overcoring stress relief method is that the three dimensional state of ...

Karl Popper and the Mechanisms of Hydrogen Embrittlement

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Representation of the beginning of loss of ductility rather than embrittlement. Small concentrations of hydrogen in a diffusible form within iron are well‐established to harm the mechanical integrity of steels. There are theories that attempt to explain the pernicious role of hydrogen.
