Estimation of nitrifying capacity in corn cultivated soils by incubation in situ
Incubations under field conditions in cylindres had been made, in order to maintain soil's structure, covering them with polyethylene bags preventing N-loss by leaching. Soils belonging to the center of the Argentine corn area were used during the months of January and February (Cropping season 1982/83 and 1983184).

ABSTRACT Excessive water production in mature oil fields necessitates robust shut‐off treatments, yet conventional polymer gels often fail under high‐temperature and high‐salinity conditions. This study aims to enhance gel thermal stability and mechanical strength by incorporating selenium‐doped Ag/AgO–ZnO nanocomposites synthesized via a novel green ...

ABSTRACT Silver‐doped cerium oxide nanoparticles (Ag/CeO2 NPs) were synthesized using Ricinus communis seed extract as a bio‐derived fuel in a solution combustion method. The combustion reaction, carried out at 450°C with AgNO3 and (NH4)2[Ce (NO3)6] as metal precursors, produced CeO2 and Ag/CeO2 NPs.

ABSTRACT Burial mounds are key elements of Mediterranean funerary landscapes, but in intensively cultivated coastal plains their low‐relief expression is easily obscured by ploughing, levelling and rapidly changing surface conditions, making single‐date observations unreliable.

Abstract Post‐harvest agricultural residues in Latin America are commonly underutilized, leading to greenhouse gas emissions and lost opportunities for bio‐based value creation. This study tests the hypothesis that decentralized, farmer‐scale pyrolysis technologies can deliver comparable agronomic benefits while exhibiting distinct techno‐economic and ...
