Citrate and intestinal calcium absorption in the rat — preliminary data from in situ perfusion studies

1987
In calcium stone patients, total urinary calcium is decreased after oral alkali citrate (1). The mechanisms of this action are speculative, since the amount of oral citrate entering the organism by absorption is not known. Also, possible direct interactions between intraluminal calcium (Ca) and citrate, based for example on complex formation (2), and ...

In situ Single-Pass Perfused Rabbit Intestinal Study sample Analysis of Ractopamine by UPLC

Asian Journal of Research in Pharmaceutical Sciences
In recent years, the prediction of oral drug absorption in humans has been a challenge for researchers and many techniques for permeability studies have been developed for several purposes, including biowaiver processes. The Single-Pass Intestinal Perfusion (SPIP) method performed in rats can provide permeability results closest to in vivo condition ...

Vascular perfusion of rat small intestine: metabolic studies with isolated and in situ preparations.

Federation proceedings, 1977
Two different preparations of vascularly-perfused rat small intestine are described and their application to metabolic studies in this tissue illustrated. The first, a totally isolated, blood-perfused intestinal preparation, has an apparent requirement for glucocorticoid and norepinephrine.
