ABSTRACT Objective Down syndrome regression disorder is a syndrome characterized by subacute loss of cognitive, behavioral, and functional abilities in individuals with Down syndrome. Electroencephalography abnormalities are frequently observed during evaluation, but it remains unclear whether these findings represent a dynamic marker of disease ...

Spatial resolution of HIV-1 post-entry steps in resting CD4 T cells
Summary: Resting CD4 T cells resist productive HIV-1 infection. The HIV-2/simian immunodeficiency virus protein viral accessory protein X (Vpx) renders these cells permissive to infection, presumably by alleviating blocks at cytoplasmic reverse ...

Cognitive and Neuroimaging Divergence Between Juvenile and Adult FUS Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis
ABSTRACT Objective Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a neurodegenerative disorder characterized by progressive motor neuron degeneration. Fused in sarcoma (FUS)‐associated juvenile ALS (jALS) represents a distinct and aggressive subgroup with rapid deterioration and poor prognosis.

Non-Existence of Some Unsymmetrical Partially Balanced Incomplete Block Designs
A partially balanced incomplete block (PBIB) design with m-associate classes is defined by Bose and Shimamoto (4) as follows:(i) The experimental material is divided into b blocks of k units each, different treatments being applied to the units in the ...

ABSTRACT Objective Early risk stratification may support clinical decision‐making in spontaneous intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH). We aimed to develop and internally validate HAGIV, a score integrating frequency of imaging markers (FIM), a time‐adjusted non‐contrast computed tomography (CT) metric of hematoma expansion, with established predictors for 90‐

On the Parameters and Intersection of Blocks of Balanced Incomplete Block Designs
In this investigation we derive a few properties of the intersection of blocks in a balanced incomplete block (b.i.b. for conciseness) design with parameters $v, b, r, k, \lambda$ and discuss the divisibility of $v$ by $k$. The last section deals with certain characteristic properties of symmetric and affine resolvable b.i.b. designs.

Conditions for connectivity of incomplete block designs
AbstractIn experimental situations where observation loss is common, it is important for a design to be robust against breakdown. For incomplete block designs, with one treatment factor and a single blocking factor, conditions for connectivity and robustness are developed using the concepts of treatment and block partitions, and of linking blocks ...

Long‐Term Neurologic Exam Findings in People Diagnosed and Treated During Acute HIV Infection
ABSTRACT Objective Evaluate clinical and laboratory correlates of abnormal neurologic exam findings after acute HIV infection (AHI). Methods Participants from the RV254/SEARCH 010 cohort in Bangkok underwent standardized neurologic examinations at Weeks 0 (AHI), 12, 96, and 288 following antiretroviral therapy (ART).

Zig-Zag matrix for resolvable nested balanced incomplete block designs
This paper presents a method of construction of designs which utilizes special matrix structures referred to as Zig-zag. The Zig-zag matrix structures give rise to initial blocks for resolvable nested balanced incomplete block designs (RNBIBDs).
