Analytical Model for the Optical Functions of Indium Gallium Nitride with Application to Thin Film Solar Photovoltaic Cells

open access: yes, 2012
This paper presents the preliminary results of optical characterization using spectroscopic ellipsometry of wurtzite indium gallium nitride (InxGa1-xN) thin films with medium indium content (0 ...

Parity Violation in Neutron Resonances in 115In [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
Parity nonconservation (PNC) was studied in p-wave resonances in indium by measuring the helicity dependence of the neutron total cross section in the neutron energy range 6.0–316 eV with the time-of-flight method at LANSCE.

Shaping of Biohybrid Functional Living Materials

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates a strategy for shaping living mycelium into functional materials by directing its natural growth. Nanoparticles armor hyphae, micron‐scale particles entangle within the network, and printed hydrogel architectures steer expansion, creating defined geometries.

Thermodynamic Considerations for a Pyrometallurgical Extraction of Indium and Silver from a Jarosite Residue

open access: yesMetals, 2018
Indium and silver are technologically important, critical metals, and in the majority of cases, they are extracted as a by-product of another carrier metal.

Method for attaching a fused-quartz mirror to a conductive metal substrate [PDF]

open access: yes, 1977
A fused-quartz mirror is attached to a conductive metal substrate by the following steps: tinning one surface of a fused-quartz mirror with a solder of substantially pure indium; tinning a metallic substrate with an indium eutectic alloy consisting ...

Artifact‐Minimizing Ultrathin Transparent Electrodes Fabricated via iCVD for In Vivo Optogenetic Stimulation and Neural Signal Monitoring of Primary Visual Cortex

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We present ultrathin flexible transparent electrodes through iCVD‐enabled molecular control of 10 nm gold films on poly(dimethylaminomethylstyrene). In vivo validation demonstrated photoelectric artifact reduction vs. opaque electrodes and preservation of natural neural dynamics.

Resonance-state-induced superconductivity at high Indium contents in In-doped SnTe

open access: yes, 2015
We report a reinvestigation of superconducting Sn$_{1-x}$In$_{x}$Te at both low and high In doping levels. Analysis of the superconductivity reveals a fundamental change as a function of \textit{x}: the system evolves from a weakly coupled to a strongly ...

Uncovering the Origin of Efficiency Roll‐Off in TADF OLEDs

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
OLEDs based on thermally activated delayed fluorescent (TADF) materials often suffer from a severe drop in efficiency at high brightness levels. This work presents a technique to uncover the source of this efficiency drop, and quantifies the exciton‐exciton and exciton‐polaron annihilation processes responsible for efficiency losses in our TADF OLEDs ...

Indium mediated isoprenylation of carbonyl compounds with 2-bromomethyl-1,3-butadiene: a short synthesis of (±)-ipsenol

open access: yesJournal of the Brazilian Chemical Society, 2003
Isoprenylation of aldehydes and ketones was directly performed by selective indium insertion on a mixture of 2-bromomethyl-1,3-butadiene and its vinylic isomers in good yields.
