Indium-mediated 2-oxonia cope rearrangement of 1,4-dienols to 1,3-dienols [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
An indium-mediated isomerization of 1,4-dienols to 1,3-dienols is described. This procedure consists of the addition of pentadienylindium, in a protic solvent, to aldehydes giving the kinetic γ-allylation product in high yields. The subsequent conversion

Direct Channel Implantation of B and BF2 Ions for Functional Control of Oxygen Vacancies in Oxide Semiconductor Thin Film Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Direct channel implantation of B and BF2 ions was employed to fabricate amorphous IGZO TFTs with improved electrical and stability properties. B and BF2 implantation modulate oxygen vacancies within the IGZO channel. The field‐effect mobility of ion‐implanted IGZO TFTs was enhanced as compared to pristine IGZO TFTs.

Giant Electrostriction in Halide Perovskites Revisited With Double‐Modulation Interferometry

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A giant electrostrictive effect in lead halide perovskites had been reported previously. This work uses sensitive interferometry to measure the electromechanical response of various halide perovskite samples. The results reveal no intrinsic electrostrictive compression. Instead, the materials expand primarily under an applied electric field as a result

Efficient Indium-Mediated Dehalogenation of Aromatics in Ionic Liquid Media

open access: yesMolecules, 2012
An efficient indium-mediated dehalogenation reaction of haloaromatics and haloheteroaromatics in ionic liquids has been studied. This method is simple and effective in the presence of [bmim]Br.

Multimode Oxide‐Based Optoelectronic Memtransistor for In‐Sensor Vision Processing

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A multimode optoelectronic memtransistor (OEMT) is demonstrated for vision explainable artificial intelligence (VXAI) hardware. By integrating optical sensing, electrical masking, and non‐volatile memory, the device enables key operations required for generating saliency information.

Impact of Disorder on Microscopic Superconducting and Normal‐State Responses in a Kagome Metal

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Using depth‐resolved, field‐ and pressure‐dependent μSR$\umu{\rm SR}$ measurements, we show that disorder in Ta‐doped KV3Sb5 drives a crossover from nodal to nodeless superconductivity while strongly modifying the normal‐state magnetic response. Our results reveal that disorder affects superconductivity and magnetism in fundamentally different ways ...

Indium-Mediated Tandem Radical Addition−Cyclization-Trap Reactions in Aqueous Media [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Tandem carbon−carbon bond-forming reactions were studied by using indium as a single-electron-transfer radical initiator. The radical addition−cyclization-trap reaction of a substrate having a vinyl sulfonamide group and an olefin moiety proceeded ...
