Regulation of mitochondrial activity by indoleacetic acid

Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Enzymology and Biological Oxidation, 1966
Abstract Mitochondria of scutella of a maize inbred were allowed to respire in the presence of indoleacetic acid. Greatest enhancement of Q O 2 N , P/N and P/O was observed with indoleacetic acid concentration around 1.07 · 10−10 M.

Effect of indoleacetic acid on protein and ribonucleic acid synthesis

Experientia, 1965
Unter dem Einfluss der Indolessigsaure ist die Aminoacyl-SRNA-Synthese nicht verandert, dagegen zeigen die Ribosomen eine gesteigerte Fahigkeit von Aminosaure-Inkorporation.

The effect of kinetin on the indoleacetic acid level and indoleacetic acid oxidase activity in roots of young plants

Physiologia Plantarum, 1981
Kinetin treatment increased the extractable IAA content in roots of young plants of Phaseolus vulgaris L., Zea mays L. and Avena sativa L. The highest increase was obtained with roots of beans and the lowest with oat roots. Maize was intermediate between these two species.

CONTROL OF CELLULASE ACTIVITY BY INDOLEACETIC ACID

Canadian Journal of Botany, 1966
Apices of etiolated decapitated Alaska pea seedlings were painted with aqueous lanolin + IAA ± various inhibitors of RNA or protein synthesis. A subapical segment from the epicotyl was removed for measurements of growth and the soluble protein content and cellulase activity of enzyme extracts.During the first 18 hours, the main growth response to IAA ...

The lateral transport of indoleacetic acid-C14 in geotropism

Experientia, 1961

EFFECTS OF INDOLEACETIC ACID ON GROWTH IN CODIUM

American Journal of Botany, 1952
sive translocation of organic matter through the stipe. The daily increase in dry weight of blades at the tip of an actively growing frond is greater than the daily product of their own photosynthesis. The rate of photosynthesis of blades farther down the stipe greatly exceeds their rate of growth.
