Engineering Approaches to Modify Immunomodulatory Functions of Mesenchymal Stromal Cells (MSCs): Tissue Regeneration and Clinical Application

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) show promise for treating immune‐related disorders through immunomodulation and tissue regeneration. This review gives a brief overview of current clinical approval of MSC therapies. It also discussed how bioengineering, including genetic modification, biomaterial delivery, extracellular vesicles, and iPSC‐derived MSCs,

High-Frequency Observations of Oceanic Internal Waves from Geostationary Orbit Satellites

open access: yesOcean-Land-Atmosphere Research, 2023
The Geostationary Orbiting Satellite (GOS) offers extensive opportunities for the study of oceanic internal waves (IWs) through high-frequency observations. In this study, the spatial and temporal distributions of sunglint from 3 GOSs (Himawari-8, FY-4A,

³He in Indonesian Seas: Inferences on deep pathways [PDF]

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, 1997
Helium isotope measurements from the Indonesian Seas, and from the Java‐Australia Dynamic Experiment cruises define mantle ³He sources and deep water spreading patterns. ³He sources in the Sulawesi Sea and in the Makassar Strait are found, but these are prevented from spreading into the Banda Sea and the Indian Ocean by blocking sills.

Dynamical balance in the Indonesian Seas circulation

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, 2000
A high resolution, four‐open port, non‐linear, barotropic ocean model (2D POM) is used to analyze the Indonesian Seas circulation. Both local and overall momentum balances are studied. It is shown that geostrophy holds over most of the area and that the Pacific‐Indian Ocean pressure difference is essentially balanced by the resultant of pressure forces
