application/pdf 中部ジャバ島のメラピイ火山は過去一世紀の噴火活動より見ても,安山岩質火山中,現在地球上で最も激しい活動を繰返した火山である.従って噴火による損害も大きく,1930年12月19日の噴火で1,300名の死者を出すなどの大きい災害が発生した.メラピイ火山の噴火活動の上記を含む主要な現象は,山頂の西方に開口する馬蹄形の内部に噴出した新熔岩丘が熔岩流となって西方の欠除した火口出口より急斜面の山体を流れ,途中より熔岩流が切れて大小の熔岩塊となって速い速度で急斜面に沿って落下し,粉体の運動状を呈して流れる.その際,高温度の小噴出物は空中に熱雲となって拡がり主として西側山腹に拡く落下散布する.つまり山頂火口の熔岩丘の生成に端を発した熔岩流が山体が急斜面のためにLava ...
