<p>The long-term (ka to ma) degradation of a volcanic edifice is controlled by both regional (e.g., climate, tectonics) and local factors (e.g., original morphology, lithology), resulting in both long-lasting weathering and river incision and short-term hazardous events, such as flank collapses and lahars.

This research employs a Random Forest machine learning method to forecast eruption probability for three Indonesian volcanoes: Semeru, Lewotobi Laki-laki, and Ruang. The primary objectives are to (1) evaluate model performance under varying data quality conditions and (2) test the transferability of forecasting models between different volcanic systems.
