Review of Domain Wall Dynamics Engineering in Magnetic Microwires
The influence of magnetic anisotropy, post-processing conditions, and defects on the domain wall (DW) dynamics of amorphous and nanocrystalline Fe-, Ni-, and Co-rich microwires with spontaneous and annealing-induced magnetic bistability has been ...

Thickness-induced spin-reorientation originated from competing magnetic shape anisotropies
Engineering the surface morphology of magnetic film is one of the important methods to tune the magnetic anisotropy of ultrathin magnetic material. However, the influence of competing shape effects on magnetic anisotropy of ultrathin film is still not ...

Dark energy induced anisotropy in cosmic expansion
In order to understand the nature of the accelerating expansion of the late-time universe, it is important to experimentally determine whether dark energy is a cosmological constant or dynamical in nature. If dark energy already exists prior to inflation,

Evolutionary analysis across 32 placental mammals identified positive selection at residues H148 and W149 in the immune receptor FcγR1. Ancestral reconstruction combined with molecular dynamics simulations reveals how these mutations may influence receptor structure and dynamics, providing insight into the evolution of antibody recognition and immune ...

Damage Induced Anisotropy in Laminates [PDF]
A damage evolution model developed by the authors is utilized to study the effect of damage induced anisotropy on constitutive behavior and failure strength of laminates. It is shown that extension-shear coupling coefficients of the in-plane stiffness matrix radically change due to unequal damage accumulation in plies with opposite orientation under ...

ABSTRACT Objective To explore how cerebral hypoxia and Normal‐Appearing White Matter (NAWM) integrity affect MS lesion burden and clinical course. Methods Seventy‐nine MS patients, including 13 clinically isolated syndrome (CIS) patients and 66 relapsing–remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS) patients, and 44 healthy controls (HCs) were recruited from ...

Magnetic anisotropy of ultrathin Fe films grown on vicinal Si (111)
We have investigated magnetic anisotropy of ultrathin Fe films grown on vicinal Si (111) with 4° miscut towards [11-2] direction. Spin reorientation transition (SRT) from out-of-plane to in-plane proceeds in a wider thickness range than on flat ...

A Depolarizing Leak in Sodium Bicarbonate Cotransporter NBCe1 Causes Brain Edema
ABSTRACT Objectives SLC4A4 encodes electrogenic sodium bicarbonate cotransporter NBCe1, prominently expressed in kidney and brain. Recessive loss‐of‐function variants in SLC4A4 cause proximal renal tubular acidosis, no brain edema. In the brain, NBCe1 is expressed by astrocytes, where it regulates pH and mediates astrocyte volume changes.

Variation of magnetic easy direction of bcc structured ferromagnetic films up to thirty spin layers
Third order Heisenberg Hamiltonian was employed to determine the effect of number of spin layers on magnetic easy direction. 3-D graph of energy versus stress induced anisotropy and angle was plotted to find magnetic easy and hard directions.
