2011The standard of care in advanced cervical cancer in all stages from and above IB2 with tumors larger than 4 cm in diameter to stage IVA with invasion of the bladder or/and rectum is radiochemotherapy. In this setting intracavitary brachytherapy is the most active component for local tumor eradication and favourable long-term results.
