Numerical Simulation of the Moving Induction Heating Process with Magnetic Flux Concentrator
The induction heating with ferromagnetic metal powder bonded magnetic flux concentrator (MPB-MFC) demonstrates more advantages in surface heating treatments of metal. However, the moving heating application is mostly applied in the industrial production.

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

Thermomagnetic convection of magnetic fluids in a cylindrical geometry
The thermomagnetic convection of magnetic fluids in a cylindrical geometry subjected to a homogeneous magnetic field is studied. The study is motivated by a novel thermal instability [W. Luo et al., Phys. Rev. Lett. 82, 4134 (1999)].

EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Apparatus for use in the production of ribbon-shaped crystals from a silicon melt [PDF]
A susceptor for facilitating induction heating of silicon melt is described. The susceptor comprises a pair of susceptor halves of a thickness less than two skin depths, each being the mirror image of the other, disposed in mutually opposed, electrically

We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Simulation of inductive heating
Induction heating can be described by a heat transfer equation, where the heat is generated through ohmic losses from eddy currents induced by varying electromagnetic fields. In general tliis phenomenon will have to be described by two coupled equations, because most of the material properties are temperaturedependent ([3,4,14]).

Ceramic susceptor for induction bonding of metals, ceramics, and plastics [PDF]
A thin (.005) flexible ceramic susceptor (carbon) was discovered. It was developed to join ceramics, plastics, metals, and combinations of these materials using a unique induction heating process. Bonding times for laboratory specimens comparing state of

Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.
