The Method to Determine the Turns Ratio Correction of the Inductive Current Transformer
This paper presents the method for evaluation of the turns ratio correction of the inductive current transformer using the magnetization curves determined at the non-load state and in the load conditions.

Amplification of S-1 Spheromak current by an inductive current transformer [PDF]
We attempt to predict the consequences of adding an inductive current transformer (OH Transformer) to the present S-1 Spheromak experiment. Axisymmetric modeling with only classical dissipation shows an increase of toroidal current and a shrinking and hollowing of the current channel, conserving toroidal flux.

Use of COMTRADE Fault Current Data to Test Inductive Current Transformers [PDF]
This paper presents a study on the inductive current transformer behaviour when subjected to distorted actual waveforms. Typical tools adopted to deal with such a condition, as the well-known ratio error, phase error, frequency response, etc. not always provide satisfactory results in all the possible operating condition. In addition, Standards lack in

Estimation of the inductive current transformer derating for operation with distorted currents
Abstract The aim of the paper is to present a new method for estimation of the CT (Current Transformer) rated primary current and / or load of the secondary winding derating levels for transformation of distorted current in relation to the rated values fixed for transformation of sinusoidal current.

According to standards, the harmonic content should be less than 5% at the time of calibration, while the calibration index proposed in this paper stipulates that the primary current amplitude of 1%~120% of the full range of the accuracy level reaches 0 ...

Design of a Current-Transformer Based Inductive Coupler for Power-Line Communications
In this paper, the design of a current-transformer based inductive coupler for power-line communications is documented. A worst-case design is presented in a step-by-step fashion and experimentally confirmed by doing verification measurements in the ...

The increasing number of nonālinear loads and renewable energy sources causes a decrease in the power quality in the power networks. Therefore, tests of current transformers should be performed in similar conditions. This requires generation by a high current testing transformer of distorted currents that rms values are from a few hundred to several ...
