Use of COMTRADE Fault Current Data to Test Inductive Current Transformers [PDF]
This paper presents a study on the inductive current transformer behaviour when subjected to distorted actual waveforms. Typical tools adopted to deal with such a condition, as the well-known ratio error, phase error, frequency response, etc. not always provide satisfactory results in all the possible operating condition. In addition, Standards lack in

Amplification of S-1 Spheromak current by an inductive current transformer [PDF]
We attempt to predict the consequences of adding an inductive current transformer (OH Transformer) to the present S-1 Spheromak experiment. Axisymmetric modeling with only classical dissipation shows an increase of toroidal current and a shrinking and hollowing of the current channel, conserving toroidal flux.

Estimation of the inductive current transformer derating for operation with distorted currents
Abstract The aim of the paper is to present a new method for estimation of the CT (Current Transformer) rated primary current and / or load of the secondary winding derating levels for transformation of distorted current in relation to the rated values fixed for transformation of sinusoidal current.

Improving the Electricity Quality by Means of a Single-Phase Solid-State Transformer
The paper describes the use of a single-phase three-stage solid-state transformer in networks with non-sinusoidal voltages in order to improve the quality of electricity. An active-inductive load was chosen as the load.

Are Inductive Current Transformers Performance Really Affected by Actual Distorted Network Conditions? An Experimental Case Study [PDF]
The aim of this work is to assess whether actual distorted conditions of the network are really affecting the accuracy of inductive current transformers.

Thermal Aspect in Operation of Inductive Current Transformers and Transducers
An increase in the temperature of the magnetic core causes narrowing of its hysteresis loop and reduction in the saturation magnetic flux density. Therefore, at the same operating point on the magnetization characteristic, the nonlinear effect may become
