Diode recovery current suppression circuit

open access: yes, 2002
The diode-recovery current in a clamped-inductive-load circuit is suppressed by a current transformer in series with the diode. The burden resistor of the transformer is connected in series with the gate of the voltage-controlled switch and restrains ...

Large‐Area 2D Metasurface‐Based Triboelectric E‐Skin Arrays: Contact & Proximity Tactile Mapping with Broadband Acoustic Readouts

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Metasurface‐engineered NC‐TENG arrays integrate tactile pressure mapping, non‐contact gesture sensing, and acoustic signal readouts in one ultrathin module, and outperforms pristine PDMS in terms of electrical output and real‐time spatial mapping for next‐gen wearables.

High-current pulses from inductive energy stores

open access: yes, 1981
Superconducting inductive energy stores can be used for high power pulse supplies if a suitable current multiplication scheme is used. The concept of an inductive Marx generator is superior to a transformer. A third scheme, a variable flux linkage device,

Phase Boundary Engineering of Co2P‐CoP Branched Nanoparticles Enhances Cobalt Oxidation for Oxygen Evolution Electrocatalysis

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Phase boundaries between Co2P and CoP are constructed through a controlled transformation of Co to Co2P‐CoP branched nanoparticles. The polycrystalline mixed‐phase Co2P‐CoP branches are enriched with phase boundaries that stabilize Co active sites for OER. This work highlights phase boundary engineering as a powerful approach to tailor active sites and

Leaftronics: Bio‐Fractal Scaffolds From Leaf Venation for Low‐Waste Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
“Leaftronics” transforms naturally evolved leaf venation into quasi‐fractal scaffolds for sustainable electronics. Polymer‐infiltrated leaf skeletons can be used to fabricate ultra‐smooth, reflow‐ and thin‐film‐compatible decomposable substrates, while making the same lignocellulose networks conducting results in flexible transparent electrodes.

Unveiling Exsolution‐Induced Giant Electronic and Magnetic Property Changes in Non‐Stoichiometric Titanate Perovskite Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A giant insulator to metal transition and emergent superparamagnetism are revealed by nanoparticle exsolution in non‐stoichiometric titanate perovskite thin films. By combining transport, synchrotron spectroscopy, and first‐principles calculations, this work reveals how defect reconfiguration and lattice reconstruction fundamentally reshape electronic ...

Direct-current current transformer for accurate ion beam measurement

open access: yes, 2018
We present our ongoing research with respect to an in-house direct-current current transformer (DCCT) which is under development. The proposed sensor can be used to capture neutralized and non-neutralized DC ion beam currents using the fluxgate ...

Design of inductive voltage transformer concerning explosion safety requirements

open access: yes, 2022

Laplace‐Pressure‐Stabilized Rutile Solid‐Solution Catalysts for Acidic Water Oxidation: Enabling DSA‐Inspired Compositions

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
The miscibility of foreign elements in rutile‐type IrO2 and SnO2 is greatly enhanced under high Laplace pressure, where their crystal size is reduced to the nanoscale. This enhancement leads to the successful synthesis of DSA‐composition solid‐solution nanocatalysts with notable durability during the acidic OER in water electrolysis.
