Bubble inductors: Pneumatic tuning of a stretchable inductor [PDF]

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2017
From adaptive matching networks in power systems to channel selectable RF filters and circuitry, tunable inductors are fundamental components for circuits requiring reconfigurability. Here we demonstrate a new continuously tunable inductor based on physically stretching the inductor traces themselves.

A detailed study of Qdc of 3D micro air-core inductors for integrated power supplies: Power supply in package (PSiP) and power supply on chip (PSoC)

open access: yesPower Electronic Devices and Components, 2022
This work presents the impact of design parameters such as the number of turns, pitch, height, conductor dimensions, etc., on the dc ratio of inductance to resistance (Ldc/Rdc) (also known as dc quality factor Qdc) of 3D micro air-core inductors.

Fractional modelling and simulation for single-phase PWM rectifier

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering, 2018
Modelling and analysis of single-phase PWM rectifier are usually based on integer order calculus theory, regardless of the fractional characteristics of inductors and capacitors, which will bring a deviation with the real system.

High-quality active inductors

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 1999
A high-quality active integrated inductor is presented. The circuit has an inductance of 20 nH and a quality factor of 47 at 1.8 GHz. It is designed to be realised using standard silicon bipolar technology and consumes 2.6 mW at a supply voltage of 3 V.
