Dynamic performance of an inerter vibration isolator under base excitation considering friction
The inerter is a vibration control element related to the acceleration between its two ends, which can increase inertia through a speed-increasing mechanism.

Modeling and Characteristic Test for a Crank-Connecting Rod Mem-Inerter Device
This paper presents a mechanical crank-connecting rod mem-inerter device, with its output and memory characteristics being investigated and validated. Previous research suggests that a hydraulic mem-inerter generates a sizeable damping force, practically

Dextranol: An inert xeroprotectant
Dextranol, a reduced dextran, prevents damage to stored dry protein samples that unmodified dextran would otherwise cause. Desiccation protectants (xeroprotectants) like the polysaccharide dextran are critical for preserving dried protein samples by forming a rigid glass that protects entrapped protein molecules. Stably dried proteins are important for

One-loop inert and pseudo-inert minima
We analyse the differences between inert and pseudo-inert vacua in the 2HDM, both at tree-level and one-loop. The validity of tree-level formulae for the relative depth of the potential at both minima is studied. The one-loop analysis shows both minima can coexist in regions of parameter space forbidden at tree-level.

Network synthesis and parameter optimization for vehicle suspension with inerter
In order to design a comfortable-oriented vehicle suspension structure, the network synthesis method was utilized to transfer the problem into solving a timing robust control problem and determine the structure of “inerter–spring–damper” suspension ...
