By the reaction of a [BiX6]3− solution in HBr with the bromide salt of bis-(3-methyl-1-pyridino)ethane ((3-MePy)2C2Br2) the bromobismuthate complex ((3-MePy)2C2)4[Bi2Br11][BiBr6] (1) is obtained, which, when kept in the Br2 solution in HBr, transforms into ((3-MePy)2C2)3 [Bi2Br11](Br3) (2).

Abstract Lewis acid/base addition between Pd2(dppf)2(μ-S)2 and MXn [M = In(III), Ga(III), Tl(I), Pb(II), Sn(IV), Bi(III), Ag(I) and Au(I); X = halide or pseudohalide; dppf = 1,1′-bis(diphenylphosphino)ferrocene] gives rise to a range of neutral or cationic intermetallics aggregates with the {Pd2MS2} or {Pd2M2S2} core.

Production and characterization of H3BO3–Li2CO3–K2CO3–MgO glass for dosimetry

Borate glasses are suitable for thermoluminescent dosimetry. In particular, borate glasses doped with different elements show good characteristics in terms of linearity, sensitivity and effective atomic number. However, these glasses are also hygroscopic, which can reduce their viability as dosimeters.

Abstract—: Single-phase Sr1– x – yYbxEuyF2+ x + y solid solutions with an average particle size near 90 nm have been synthesized via co-precipitation from aqueous solutions, followed by high-temperature annealing. Efficient Yb3+ luminescence was observed upon excitation at a wavelength of 266 nm.
