Diode-pumped continuous Wave Tm:KLu(WO
© 2016 IEEE.Laser performance of Tm doped KLu(WO4)2 and KY(WO4)2 crystals was investigated in a microchip cavity configuration with fiber coupled laser diode as a pump source. The highest output power of 1013 mW with 51 % slope efficiency was obtained for Tm:KY(WO4)2 crystal. Using Tm:KLu(WO4)2 crystal output power of 912 mW and slope efficiency of 38 %

Quintuple perovskites Ln2Ba3Fe5-xCoxO15-δ, with Ln = Sm, Eu have been synthesized for x values varying from 0 to 2. The HRTEM and HAADF investigations show that these oxides are ordered at the nanoscale with a tetragonal "ap × ap × 5ap" lattice, corresponding to an ordered fivefold stacking of the Ba and Ln layers.

Orthorombic Yb:Li
© 2017 Astro Ltd. Crystal with composition Li 2 Zn 2 (MoO 4 ) 3 doped with 0.7 at.% Yb (Yb:LiZnMo), with high optical quality and a length of a few cm is grown from the flux using Li 2 MoO 4 as a solvent. Yb:LiZnMo is orthorombic (sp. gr. Pnma, a = 5.0843 Å, b = 10.4927 Å, c = 17.6742 Å, Z = 4). Polarized Raman spectra are studied for this crystal; the

Exchange bias effect in CaMn0.9Nb0.1O3
Materials Chemistry and Physics, 2015Abstract The exchange bias effect in CaMn0.9Nb0.1O3 has been investigated. It was found that both vertical and horizontal shifts in magnetic hysteresis loop of field cooled sample decrease monotonously with increasing temperature and vanish above 70 K, while the coercivity disappears only above 90 K, upon approaching the Neel temperature.

Interplay of rare-earth and transition-metal subsystems in Cu
©2017 American Physical Society We present the synthesis and the experimental and theoretical study of the new member of the francisite family, Cu 3 Yb(SeO 3 ) 2 O 2 Cl. The compound reaches an antiferromagnetic order at T N = 36.7 K and experiences first-order spin-reorientation transition to weakly ferromagnetic phase at T R = 8.7 K evidenced in ...

Low temperature ESR in spin ladder (C
© Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd. Spin-gap magnet (C7H10N)2Cu(1-x)ZnxBr4(DIMPY) is an example of a strong-leg spin ladder. We report here the results of the ESR study of pure and diamagnetically diluted DIMPY. ESR study of the pure system (x=0) revealed that the spin dynamics of DIMPY is affected by uniform Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya (DM ...

A novel polybromide complex of bismuth – (Et
© 2018 The polybromide complex (Et4N)3{[Bi2Br9](Br2)} was obtained by reaction of [BiBr6]3–, Br2 and tetraethylammonium bromide in 2 m HBr. In its crystal structure, bioctahedral [Bi2Br9]3– anions are connected by neutral Br2 linkers into infinite 1D chains via terminal bromide ligands.

Tuning of physical properties of Fe
© 2018 Elsevier B.V. The sodium intercalation of mixed – valence iron phosphate Fe32+Fe43+(PO4)6 results in drastic transformation of its physical properties. The parent compound Fe7(PO4)6 reaches magnetically ordered state through succession of phase transitions at TN1 = 45.5 K and TN2 = 16 K marked by sharp singularities in both specific heat Cp and ...
