Coronavirus avian infectious bronchitis virus [PDF]

open access: yesVeterinary Research, 2007
Infectious bronchitis virus (IBV), the coronavirus of the chicken (Gallus gallus), is one of the foremost causes of economic loss within the poultry industry, affecting the performance of both meat-type and egg-laying birds. The virus replicates not only in the epithelium of upper and lower respiratory tract tissues, but also in many tissues along the ...

Isolation of infectious bronchitis virus from broiler [PDF]

open access: yesIraqi Journal of Veterinary Sciences, 2007
Infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) was isolated from broilers chicks. The virus isolation done by samples inoculation in chicken egg embryos via allontoic cavity route which showed sensitivity for virus isolation resulting in stunting and rounding of ...

The construction of plant expression vector of S1 gene of avian infectious branchitis virus

open access: yes浙江大学学报. 农业与生命科学版, 2001
The S1 gene of avian infectious bronchitis virus (ZJ971 strain) was amplified by polymerase chain reaction with special primers containing XbalI and BamHI. The purified PCR product was digested by the restricted enzyme XbalI and BamHI.

Evolutionary Analysis of Infectious Bronchitis Virus Reveals Marked Genetic Diversity and Recombination Events

open access: yesGenes, 2020
In the last 5 years, frequent outbreaks of infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) are observed in both broiler and layer chicken flocks in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) in spite of extensive usage of vaccines.

Ribonucleoprotein of Avian Infectious Bronchitis Virus

open access: yesJournal of General Virology, 1981
The ribonucleoprotein (RNP) of avian infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) was examined by electron microscopy after shadowing with carbon/platinum. Linear RNP strands up to 6.7 microns in length, from three IVB strains, were sensitive to both pancreatic RNase and to proteases. These strands were obtained from spontaneously disrupted complete particles but

Diagnosis of infectious bronchitis: an overview of concepts and tools

open access: yesBrazilian Journal of Poultry Science, 2010
Infectious bronchitis (IB) casues multi-systemic infection in chickens with signs similar caused by other poultry pathogens and thus a high diagnostic accuracy can only be achieved by s series of laboratory assays. This article reviews in a brief way the

In Silico Identification of Potential Inhibitors of the SARS-CoV-2 Main Protease among a PubChem Database of Avian Infectious Bronchitis Virus 3CLPro Inhibitors

open access: yesBiomolecules, 2023
Remarkable structural homologies between the main proteases of the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) and the avian infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) were revealed by comparative amino-acid sequence and 3D structural alignment ...

Molecular Detection of Avian Infectious Bronchitis Viruses in Live Bird Markets, Gilan Province [PDF]

open access: yesArchives of Razi Institute, 2020
Coronaviruses (AvCoV) which include infectious bronchitis virus (IBV) and other bird coronaviruses belong to the genus gammacoronavirus, subfamily Coronavirinae. One of the most prominent representatives of gammacoronavirus genus is infectious bronchitis

The nucleic acid of infectious bronchitis virus [PDF]

open access: yesArchiv fr die gesamte Virusforschung, 1973
The nucleic acid of infectious bronchitis virus (IBV), like that of other enveloped viruses, consists of discontinuous single stranded RNA. However, unlike many other viruses, there is extreme heterogeneity in the sizes of the RNA fragments, as revealed by centrifugation in sucrose gradients or electrophoresis in polyacrylamide gels.

Molecular Epidemiology of Infectious Bronchitis Virus in The Netherlands

open access: yesJournal of General Virology, 1987
Twelve Dutch isolates and the M41 strain of infectious bronchitis virus (IBV), a coronavirus of chickens, were characterized by cross-neutralization and T1 finger-printing to elucidate their evolutionary relationship. The T1 fingerprinting showed that the Dutch isolates formed two clusters.
