H2-Cache: A Novel Hierarchical Dual-Stage Cache for High-Performance Acceleration of Generative Diffusion Models

open access: yesIEEE Open Journal of the Computer Society
Diffusion models have emerged as state-of-the-art in image generation, but their practical deployment is hindered by the significant computational cost of their iterative denoising process. While existing caching techniques can accelerate inference, they

Directed evolution of enzymes at the crossroads of tradition and innovation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
An iterative cycle of data‐driven enzyme optimization comprising four stages: genetic diversification of a template enzyme, expression of protein variants, high‐throughput evaluation, and machine‐learning‐guided redesign of the next variant library.

Robust Bayesian inference in Iq-Spherical models [PDF]

open access: yes, 1992
The class of multivariate lq-spherical distributions is introduced and defined through their isodensity surfaces. We prove that, under a Jeffreys' type improper prior on the scale parameter, posterior inference on the location parameters is the same for

Transcripts enriched in codons that trigger P‐site tRNA‐mediated mRNA decay possess stable mRNA

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
PTMD codons were first described by Mendel et al. as mediators of an mRNA decay pathway dependent on the human protein CNOT3, homologous to yeast Not5. Our findings confirm that PTMD codons destabilize transcripts; however, unlike in yeast, the human pathway specifically targets and slightly destabilizes primarily stable mRNAs.

MagmaFlow: A desktop platform for artificial intelligence‐driven expression analysis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
MagmaFlow is a free, no‐code platform for gene expression analysis. It generates interactive volcano plots, links genes to literature, pathways, and diseases, prioritizes candidates using millions of publications, identifies affected biological processes, builds network diagrams, and exports publication‐ready figures and reports for macOS and Windows ...

Identification of (20R)‐protopanaxadiol from Panax ginseng as a novel anti‐SARS‐CoV‐2 compound

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
We established a noninfectious BAC‐based SARS‐CoV‐2 replicon that enables antiviral screening under BSL‐2 conditions. Using this platform, we screened 373 food‐derived compounds and identified (20R)‐protopanaxadiol from Panax ginseng as a novel inhibitor of SARS‐CoV‐2 RNA replication, highlighting the value of safe replicon systems for antiviral ...

From Mechanisms to Modeling: Causal Inference for Hydro‐Sedimentary Responses

open access: yesWater Resources Research
Hydro‐sedimentary responses critically influence water and ecological security, yet their nonlinear complexity challenges mechanistic understanding and reliable modeling, a gap that conventional association‐based methods hardly address.

Constructing Cell-Specific Causal Networks of Individual Cells for Depicting Dynamical Biological Processes

open access: yesResearch
Causal inference is crucial in biological research, as it enables the understanding of complex relationships and dynamic processes that drive cellular behavior, development, and disease. Within this context, gene regulatory network (GRN) inference serves
