MITF maintains genome stability in nonmelanocyte lineages

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
MITF is essential for melanocyte survival and acts as an oncogene in 10%–20% of melanomas. We show that MITF depletion causes genome instability in nonmelanocytic cells, leading to LATS2‐mediated P53 activation, cell cycle arrest, and apoptosis. This study highlights the role of MITF as a genome maintenance factor beyond the melanocyte lineage. Created

Development and evaluation of a recombinant monoclonal human antibody with virus-neutralizing activity against the F glycoprotein of respiratory syncytial virus

open access: yesЖурнал микробиологии, эпидемиологии и иммунобиологии
Introduction. Respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) is the most common pathogen causing lower respiratory tract infections in children. RSV also poses a serious threat to the elderly and immunocompromised patients.

PROBLEMS OF ISOLATION, IDENTIFICATION AND ANTIGENIC CHARACTERIZATION OF RECENT HUMAN A(H3N2) INFLUENZA VIRUSES

open access: yesВопросы вирусологии, 2018
Human A (H3N2) influenza viruses are distinguished by a high rate of evolution and regularly cause epidemics around the world. Their ability to adapt and to escape from the host's immune response and to change their receptor specificity is very high ...

Patient therapy outcome modeling in cancer organoids is improved by cancer‐associated fibroblasts and organoid assembly convolution

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Patient‐derived organoids (PDOs) from pancreatic, colorectal, and gastric cancers were used to evaluate standard and experimental therapies. Incorporating cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) into organoid cultures improved patient therapy outcome prediction.

Inhibition of cyclin‐dependent kinases 12/13 using CT7439 as a treatment for colorectal cancer with CDK12 upregulation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The proposed mechanism of action for the CDK12/13 inhibitor and cyclin K degrader, CT7439. CDK12/13 inhibition interrupts transcription elongation, leading to increased DNA damage that results in cell death. This agent is a potentially novel treatment option for patients with colorectal cancer. Created in BioRender. Cyclin‐dependent kinase (CDK) 12 and

Large‐scale bidirectional arrayed genetic screens identify OXR1 and EMC4 as modifiers of αSynuclein aggregation

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Activation of the mitochondrial protein OXR1 increases pSyn129 αSynuclein aggregation by lowering ATP levels and altering mitochondrial membrane potential, particularly in response to MSA‐derived fibrils. In contrast, ablation of the ER protein EMC4 enhances autophagic flux and lysosomal clearance, broadly reducing α‐synuclein aggregates.

Long‐term hippocampal alterations and cognitive impairment in a murine model of surgical sepsis

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Using a mouse model of surgical sepsis, we tested long‐term memory and analyzed the transcriptome of single cells isolated from the hippocampus. Survivor mice showed worse memory, loss of certain brain cell subpopulations, and abnormal immune cell activity—suggesting that post‐sepsis brain alterations may be linked to cognitive deficits.

Development of B-cell response during immunization with inactivated influenza vaccines "Grippol plus", "Sovigripp" and "Ultrix"

open access: yesМедицинская иммунология
The worldwide circulating influenza viruses annually lead to serious medical and socio-economic consequences. It is generally recognized that vaccination is the most effective and safe strategy for preventing influenza and its complications.
