HyperGrid — Accessing Complex Information Spaces [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
In this paper, we describe a new interaction and visualization concept for non-expert users to easily access complex heterogeneous information spaces. The HyperGrid combines well-known table visualizations with zoomable user interface concepts to provide a two-dimensional grid as an access tool to multi-dimensional and relational data.

Clustering the information space using top-ranking sentences : a study of user interaction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
By considering sentences selected by a query-biased sentence extraction model from the top-retrieved documents, we create a personalised information space which is characterised by the presence of search terms.

Library As Place: Being Human in a Digital World

open access: yes, 2014
Despite the increasingly digital nature of information retrieval, both users and computers continue to occupy physical space, and the library – as place – offers an essential location for inspiration.

Reduced vascular leakage correlates with breast carcinoma T regulatory cell infiltration but not with metastatic propensity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A mouse model for vascular normalization and a human breast cancer cohort were studied to understand the relationship between vascular leakage and tumor immune suppression. For this, endothelial and immune cell RNAseq, staining for vascular function, and immune cell profiling were employed.

DEVELOPMENT OF METHODOLOGY FOR MONITORING AND ASSESSING THE NATIONAL GREENING PROGRAM USING OPTICAL AND SAR DATA [PDF]

open access: yesThe International Archives of the Photogrammetry, Remote Sensing and Spatial Information Sciences
Launched primarily to address the growing concern of environmental sustainability and to combat climate change, the National Greening Program (NGP) is the most ambitious reforestation program undertaken in the Philippines.

Intein‐based modular chimeric antigen receptor platform for specific CD19/CD20 co‐targeting

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CARtein is a modular CAR platform that uses split inteins to splice antigen‐recognition modules onto a universal signaling backbone, enabling precise, scarless assembly without re‐engineering signaling domains. Deployed here against CD19 and CD20 in B‐cell malignancies, the design supports flexible multi‐antigen targeting to boost T‐cell activation and

Class IIa HDACs forced degradation allows resensitization of oxaliplatin‐resistant FBXW7‐mutated colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
HDAC4 is degraded by the E3 ligase FBXW7. In colorectal cancer, FBXW7 mutations prevent HDAC4 degradation, leading to oxaliplatin resistance. Forced degradation of HDAC4 using a PROTAC compound restores drug sensitivity by resetting the super‐enhancer landscape, reprogramming the epigenetic state of FBXW7‐mutated cells to resemble oxaliplatin ...

Measuring information growth in fractal phase space

open access: yes, 2003
We look at chaotic systems evolving in fractal phase space. The entropy change in time due to the fractal geometry is assimilated to the information growth through the scale refinement.
