Probing the Distinct Extinction Law of the Pillars of Creation in M16 with JWST

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal Letters
Investigating the extinction law in regions of high dust extinction, such as the Pillars of Creation within the M16 region, is crucial for understanding the densest parts of the interstellar medium (ISM).

Extent of excess far-infrared emission around luminosity class III stars [PDF]

open access: yes, 2001
With the Infrared Space Observatory, we conducted 3 x 3 pixel imaging photometry of 12 luminosity class III stars, which were previously presumed to have dust particles around them, at far-infrared wavelengths (60 and 90 mum).

Dipole‐Engineered Conductive Additives for Ultrastable Interphase Evolution in High‐Areal‐Capacity Silicon Anodes

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In the work reported herein, dipole‐engineered sulfonated carbon nanofibers enable conductive additives to actively regulate interphase formation in silicon anodes. Polar sulfonyl groups guide electrolyte decomposition to form a compact LiF‐rich interphase while promoting robust integration with silicon.

Infrared Spectral Energy Distribution Modeling of Velocity Excess in Maser Sources: Identifying Incipient Water Fountain Candidates

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
We investigated whether “velocity excess” in circumstellar maser lines can diagnose the earliest evolutionary phases of water fountains (WFs). Here, we define “velocity excess” as maser emission (e.g., H _2 O 22.235 GHz or OH 1665/1667 MHz) detected at ...

Pull‐and‐Push Nanotherapeutic Hydrogels: Scavenging Inflammatory Triggers While Driving Tissue Regeneration in Burn Wounds

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A nanounit‐assembled hydrogel employing a “pull‐and‐push” strategy simultaneously scavenges pro‐inflammatory cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) and delivers regenerative therapeutics in response to burn‐induced hyperthermia. By repolarizing macrophages and promoting angiogenesis, this multifunctional platform accelerates burn wound healing, offering a blueprint for

Dwarf Galaxies with Radio-excess Active Galactic Nuclei in the Very Large Array Sky Survey

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal
We present a systematic search for radio active galactic nuclei (AGNs) in dwarf galaxies using recent observations taken by the Very Large Array Sky Survey (VLASS).

Modelling and interpretation of SEDs*

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2015
Circumstellar disks are mostly detected by larger continuum fluxes in the infrared to mm spectral regions as compared to naked stars (a flux excess).

Infrared excess around nearby red giant branch stars and Reimers law ( [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Context. Mass loss is one of the fundamental properties of asymptotic giant branch (AGB) stars, but for stars with initial masses below  ~1 M⊙, the mass loss on the first red giant branch (RGB) actually dominates mass loss on the AGB.

Support‐Controlled Reaction Pathways via Dynamic Sulfur‐Mediated Interfaces for Selective Urea Electrolysis

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Sulfur‐doped graphitized carbon nanofibers act as adaptive catalyst–support platforms, enabling dynamic sulfur‐mediated reconstruction and strong metal–support interactions. This unique behavior enhances catalyst stability and controls reaction pathways, achieving highly selective urea oxidation (∼92% N2) coupled with efficient hydrogen evolution ...
