KIC 8462852: THE INFRARED FLUX [PDF]
We analyzed the warm Spitzer/IRAC data of KIC 8462852. We found no evidence of infrared excess at 3.6 μm and a small excess of 0.43 ± 0.18 mJy at 4.5 μm below the 3σ threshold necessary to claim a detection.

An All‐Textile, Mechano‐Capacitive Subtle Movement Sensor
A robust all‐textile capacitive sensor is introduced for measuring subtle body movements without long‐term degradation. By separating mechanical deformation from electrical sensing elements, accuracy, responsiveness, and durability are improved. Simple fabrication methods are presented, electrode effects are analyzed, and performance is validated ...

Spectroscopy of Free-floating Planetary-mass Objects and Their Disks with JWST
Free-floating planetary-mass objects (FFPMOs) are known to harbor disks at young ages. Here, we present 1–13 μ m spectra for eight young FFPMOs with masses of 5–10 M _Jup (at ages of 1–5 Myr), using the NIRSpec and MIRI instruments on the James Webb ...

Inspired by lung alveolar architecture, a dual‐templating strategy combining CO2 bubble and ice templating creates mechanically robust super‐macroporous hydrogels with highly interconnected transport pathways. The resulting material achieves 3.37× faster moisture sorption and 1.72× higher solar‐driven water release than single‐templated counterparts ...

HDE 233517: Lithium and Excess Infrared Emission in Giant Stars [PDF]
Recent studies have identified a small class of moderately rapidly rotating, chromospherically active, single giants, some of which are lithium rich. We present evidence suggesting the peculiar K-type star HDE 233517 is one such object.

Tandem 2D vdW ferroelectric heterojunctions enable spectrally selective, self‐powered bipolar opto‐synaptic responses for retinal ON/OFF bipolar cell emulation and wavelength‐programmable logic operations. This work establishes vdW ferroelectric heterojunctions as a compelling materials platform for energy‐efficient, adaptive, and human‐like artificial

Thermal Emission and Confirmation of the Frigid White Dwarf Exoplanet WD 1856+534 b
We report the detection of thermal emission from and confirm the planetary nature of WD 1856+534 b, the first transiting planet known to orbit a white dwarf (WD) star.

Density, Viscosity, Vapor-Liquid Equilibrium, Excess Molar Enthalpy and IR Spectrocopy of [Chloroform+Di-isopropyl Ether (DIPE)] [PDF]
Density, viscosity and refractive index measurements in the T=[288.15 to 303.15] K range of pure chloroform and di-isopropyl ether, as well as of the binary system [x1 chloroform+(1-x1) di-isopropyl ether (DIPE)] over the whole concentration range at T ...

A hybrid photoprotective material integrates N‐doped TiO2 with a metal‐phenolic network (MPN) to achieve broad‐spectrum attenuation and robust reactive oxygen species (ROS) suppression. Nitrogen doping extends attenuation into the UVA/high energy visible light (HEV) regions and facilitates fast charge recombination to inhibit ROS formation.

Versatile Pneumatic Twisted Coiled Actuators Enabled by Fiber‐Polymer Composite Fabrication
This work reports composite Pneumatic Twisted Coiled Actuators with embedded Kevlar fibers that convert pneumatic or hydraulic pressure into powerful linear motion. A novel precise manufacturing technique is used to systematically explore how design variables influence actuator mechanics and dynamics.
