Frequencies of Warm Debris Disks Based on Point Source Catalogs of Spitzer, WISE, and Gaia

open access: yesThe Astronomical Journal
More than a thousand warm debris disks have been detected as infrared excess at mid-infrared wavelengths, and their frequencies have been obtained for various spectral types of stars.

ON INFRARED EXCESSES ASSOCIATED WITH Li-RICH K GIANTS [PDF]

open access: yesThe Astronomical Journal, 2015
Infrared (IR) excesses around K-type red giants (RGs) have previously been discovered using IRAS data, and past studies have suggested a link between RGs with overabundant Li and IR excesses, implying the ejection of circumstellar shells or disks. We revisit the question of IR excesses around RGs using higher spatial resolution IR data, primarily from ...

Submillimeter to centimeter excess emission from the Magellanic Clouds. II. On the nature of the excess [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Context. Dust emission at sub-millimeter to centimeter wavelengths is often simply the Rayleigh-Jeans tail of dust particles at termal equilibrium and is used as a cold mass tracer in various environments including nearby galaxies.

The VISTA Carina Nebula Survey. II. Spatial distribution of the infrared-excess-selected young stellar population [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We performed a deep wide-field (6.76 sq. deg) near-infrared survey with the VISTA telescope that covers the entire extent of the Carina nebula complex (CNC). The point-source catalog created from these data contains around four million individual objects

Ag2Te Colloidal Quantum Dots for Near-Infrared-II Photodetectors [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
Ag2Te colloidal quantum dots (QDs) are an excellent nanomaterial for applications in the second near-infrared window (NIR-II, 1000–1700 nm). However, synthesis with narrow size distribution and high photoluminescence quantum yield (PL QY) is challenging.

Low‐Temperature Imidization of Polyimides (PI) for Scalable Manufacturing of Flexible Wearable Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Low‐temperature imidization of PEG‐modified polyimide enables fully screen‐printed, roll‐to‐roll fabrication of flexible electrodes on PET substrates, delivering robust mechanical durability and reliable ECG/EMG signal performance for wearable electronics.

A Data-driven Search For Mid-infrared Excesses Among Five Million Main-sequence FGK Stars

open access: yesThe Astronomical Journal
Stellar infrared excesses can indicate various phenomena of interest, from protoplanetary disks to debris disks, or (more speculatively) techno-signatures along the lines of Dyson spheres.

Performance Analysis of Abradable Coating Systems for Aircraft Gas Turbines

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Three CoNiCrAlY/YSZ/MgAl2O4 abradable liner configurations on a nickel‐superalloy are evaluated by thermal‐gradient cycling and incursion tests. Laser ablation of the bondcoat and/or Y2O3‐stabilized ZrO2 (YSZ) intermediate layer increases mechanical interlocking and bonding for thick topcoats.

The Clustering Properties of AGNs/Quasars in CatWISE2020 Catalog

open access: yesThe Astrophysical Journal, 2023
We study the clustering properties of 1,307,530 AGNs/quasars in the CatWISE2020 catalog prepared using the Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer and Near-Earth Object Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer survey data.
