A wideband tunable electrochromic device with dynamic thermal emissivity control is demonstrated. The system enables adaptive heat regulation via electrochemically modulated silver deposition, achieving efficient cooling and heating states. The flexible design ensures mechanical robustness under bending conditions, making it promising for portable and ...

Near-infrared observations of PSR J1357-6429
PSR J1357$-$6429 is a young radio pulsar that was detected in X-rays and $\gamma$-rays. We present the high spatial resolution near-infrared imaging of the pulsar field in $J$, $H$ and $K_s$ bands obtained with the VLT/NaCo using the Adaptive Optic ...

Cathodo- and radioluminescence of Tm$^{3+}$:YAG and Nd$^{3+}$:YAG in an extended wavelength range [PDF]
We have studied the cathodo- and radioluminescence of Nd:YAG and of Tm:YAG single crystals in an extended wavelength range up to $\approx 5\,\mu$m in view of developing a new kind of detector for low-energy, low-rate energy deposition events. Whereas the

This study introduces a scalable and colored low‐emissivity (low‐e) paint achieved by spraying an ultrathin n‐doped poly(benzodifurandione) (n‐PBDF) coating onto various colored substrates. The low‐e paint enhances thermal regulation by reducing mid‐infrared thermal emissivity to 0.19, thereby stabilizing indoor temperatures across diverse climates ...

Harnessing Outer Space for Improved Electrocaloric Cooling
A novel radiative heat sink/source‐integrated electrocaloric (R‐iEC) system combines the electrocaloric (EC) effect with a thermally conductive radiative cooler (TCRC) to address heat dissipation limitations in EC devices. Utilizing outer space as a heat sink, the system achieves up to 240 W m−2 of heat dissipation performance, making it highly ...

Unveiling the Emission Mechanisms of Blazar PKS 1510-089. I. Multiwavelength Variability
The flat spectrum radio quasar PKS 1510-089 is one of the most active blazars in γ -rays, exhibiting phases of very high activity. This study investigates its variability over a decade across a wide range of wavelengths, from radio to γ -rays.

Probing Intergalactic Magnetic Fields in the GLAST Era through Pair Echo Emission from TeV Blazars
More than a dozen blazars are known to be emitters of multi-TeV gamma rays, often with strong and rapid flaring activity. By interacting with photons of the cosmic microwave and infrared backgrounds, these gamma rays inevitably produce electron-positron ...

A novel phthalocyanine (PC)‐based metal–organic framework (MOFs) is synthesized using ditopic PC linkers obtained through regioselective statistical condensation. The resulting MOF exhibits significant improvements in electronic absorption, thereby enhancing the material's performance in light harvesting and energy conversion.
