Investigation in the Use of Infrared Absorption Spectrophotometry

open access: yes, 1958
Three rather unrelated projects in infrared spectrophotometry were carried out by the writer. First, some effort was expended in trying to find cell windows which were suitably transparent to infrared radiation and yet water insoluable.

Composite materials based on dual network cross‐linking for flexible sensors

open access: yesFlexMat, EarlyView.
Utilizing hydrogen bond lithium bond dual network structure to effectively enhance the rapid self‐healing properties of flexible ionic materials. Abstract The further development of flexible ionic materials is limited by the evaporation or leakage of their internal liquid state. This article presents a composite flexible ionic material with no internal

Investigation of in vivo measurement of cerebral cytochrome-c-oxidase redox changes using near-infrared spectroscopy in patients with orthostatic hypotension

open access: yes, 2007
We have previously used a continuous four wavelength near infrared spectrometer to measure changes in the cerebral concentrations of oxy- (Δ[HbO2] and deoxy- haemoglobin (Δ[HHb]) during head-up tilt in patients with primary autonomic failure.

Black phosphorus‐based photothermal disruption of cancer‐associated fibroblast barriers and tumor‐associated macrophage targeting to enhance anti‐PD‐L1 immunotherapy in triple‐negative breast cancer

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Medicine, EarlyView.
MBB modulates the TNBC tumor microenvironment by targeting TAM/CXCL1 and facilitates anti‐PD‐L1 therapy by disrupting CAF barriers via its photothermal effect. This combined strategy subsequently enhances the efficacy of PD‐L1 mAb and suppresses TNBC progression, metastasis, and recurrence.

Transmission Raman Spectroscopy (TRS) for Accurate Authentication of API in Coated Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) Tablets

open access: yesJournal of Raman Spectroscopy, EarlyView.
We report the development and use of a transmission Raman spectroscopy (TRS) system for a more accurate but nonintrusive way of authentication of API in coated HCQ tablets which otherwise is not possible using the backscattered (BS) configuration of Raman spectroscopy. The coating interference is found to be almost zero in case of the TRS and a greater

Near-infrared laser-mediated drug release and antibacterial activity of gold nanorod–sputtered titania nanotubes

open access: yesJournal of Tissue Engineering, 2018
The infection control of implants is one of the hot issues in the field of medicine and dentistry. In this study, we prepared gold nanorod–sputtered titania nanotubes on titanium surface, which is the main component of implant material, and aimed to ...
