Cystatin A promotes the antitumor activity of T helper type 1 cells and dendritic cells in murine models of pancreatic cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is a disease with very poor prognosis due to therapeutic limitations. We investigated the antitumor effects of cystatin A (CSTA) in PDAC murine models. We are first to confirm that CSTA enhances T helper type 1‐mediated antitumor effects through promotion of dendritic cells and M1 macrophage activity. CSTA can be

Early‐onset Alzheimer's disease shows a distinct neuropsychological profile and more aggressive trajectories of cognitive decline than late‐onset

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, Volume 9, Issue 12, Page 1962-1973, December 2022., 2022
Abstract Objectives Early‐ and late‐onset Alzheimer's disease (EOAD and LOAD) share the same neuropathological traits but show distinct cognitive features. We aimed to explore baseline and longitudinal outcomes of global and domain‐specific cognitive function in a well characterized cohort of patients with a biomarker‐based diagnosis.

Aten-Alinda orbital evolution: the example of possible interacting orbits [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of Asteroids, Comets, Meteors (ACM 2002), 29 July-2 August 2002, Technical university Berlin, Berlin, Germany (ESA-SP-500, November 2002), p. 393-396, 2005
Minor planets 887 Alinda and 2062 Aten are typical near Earth asteroids (NEA). Our previous researches show their possible origin in catastrophic collision near Earth orbit. It is determine the target of present research -- to investigate interactions between these objects in more details. Orbits m.p.

Molecular and functional profiling unravels targetable vulnerabilities in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We used whole exome and RNA‐sequencing to profile divergent genomic and transcriptomic landscapes of microsatellite stable (MSS) and microsatellite instable (MSI) colorectal cancer. Alterations were classified using a computational score for integrative cancer variant annotation and prioritization.

Orbit Determination Analysis Utilizing Radiometric and Laser Ranging Measurements for GPS Orbit [PDF]

open access: yes
While navigation systems for the determination of the orbit of the Global Position System (GPS) have proven to be very effective, the current issues involve lowering the error in the GPS satellite ephemerides below their current level.

Classification of acute myeloid leukemia based on multi‐omics and prognosis prediction value

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The Unsupervised AML Multi‐Omics Classification System (UAMOCS) integrates genomic, methylation, and transcriptomic data to categorize AML patients into three subtypes (UAMOCS1‐3). This classification reveals clinical relevance, highlighting immune and chromosomal characteristics, prognosis, and therapeutic vulnerabilities.

Space-Based Localization of Radio Frequency Transmitters Utilizing Macaulay Resultant and Heuristic Optimization Methods [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
This research focuses on radio frequency geolocation of space objects utilizing space-based platforms. Geolocation has long been the solution for locating objects. In particular, this study examines the scenario of two cooperative receivers geolocating a

Targeting the MDM2‐MDM4 interaction interface reveals an otherwise therapeutically active wild‐type p53 in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study investigates an alternative approach to reactivating the oncosuppressor p53 in cancer. A short peptide targeting the association of the two p53 inhibitors, MDM2 and MDM4, induces an otherwise therapeutically active p53 with unique features that promote cell death and potentially reduce toxicity towards proliferating nontumor cells.

A Novel Algorithm for Precise Orbit Determination Using a Single Satellite Laser Ranging System Within a Single Arc for Space Surveillance and Tracking

open access: yesAerospace
A satellite laser ranging (SLR) system uses lasers to measure the range from ground stations to space objects with millimeter-level precision. Recent advances in SLR systems have increased their use in space surveillance and tracking (SST).
