Correlation between initial blood count and clinical parameters in children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia [PDF]
Introduction: ALL is the most common malignancy in children, accounting for one third of all pediatric cancer patients. It is of crucial importance to recognise the disease on time to ensure good outcome and prevent initial complications.

ABSTRACT Background Japan has one of the highest dialysis prevalence rates worldwide and a shrinking, aging population. Whether dialysis burden has entered a sustained post‐peak phase or whether recent declines partly reflect pandemic‐related disruptions remains uncertain.

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Initial Investigation into the Energy and Operational Parameters of LED Modules
The paper presents an initial investigation into the energy and operational parameters of three LED modules produced by a little-known producer. The paper considers the requirements of Standards TM-21-11 and LM-80-08 applicable in measuring lumen maintenance life, as well as the requirements for temperature in measuring illuminance.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Effect of Process Parameters on the Initial Burst Release of Protein-Loaded Alginate Nanospheres
The controlled release or delivery of proteins encapsulated in micro/nanospheres is an emerging strategy in regenerative medicine. For this, micro/nanospheres made from alginate have drawn considerable attention for the use as a protein delivery device ...

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.
