Evaluation the injectability of injectable microparticle delivery systems on the basis of injection force and discharged rate

European Journal of Pharmaceutics and Biopharmaceutics, 2023
Subcutaneous injection of biopharmaceutical agents or microparticles is challenging due to issues with low injection efficiency and high residual amounts. This study aimed to determine the important factors affecting the injectability of microparticle delivery systems, establish a suitable injection system with lower injection force and higher discharge

Injection rate: A factor in contrast reactions?

Clinical Radiology, 1990
A prospective study comparing the frequency of contrast reactions by the rate of contrast injection is presented. One hundred patients undergoing excretion urography with meglumine diatriazoate (18%) and sodium diatriazoate (40%) mixture (Urografin 325) were randomised into slow (mean 0.975 ml/s) and rapid (mean 2.575 ml/s) injection groups.

The Measurement of Injection Rate

Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Conference Proceedings, 1969
In order to obtain the true value of the injection rate of a diesel engine, the following processes are discussed: (1) the Tokyo Institute of Technology's revolving disc method, developed by the authors, which needs no correction, there being few errors; (2) a newly introduced unsteady flow correction method applied to pressure lift method and ...

Fracture path interaction of two adjacent perforations subjected to different injection rate increments

Computers and geotechnics, 2020
During the fracturing of shale gas reservoirs, the injection rate and its variation affect the fracture propagation path and fracture connectivity between two adjacent perforations.

On the fuel injection rate profile as boundary conditions for diesel spray combustion simulations

, 2020
The start of injection (SOI) transition processes present challenges for diesel spray combustion simulations by computational fluid dynamics (CFD). In the previous studies, claims are usually placed on the experimental uncertainties or numerical methods ...

Effect of Variable Injection Rate on Falloff and Injectivity Tests

SPE Western Regional/AAPG Pacific Section Joint Meeting, 2002
Abstract Numerous full field water-flooding projects are currently under way throughout the world to improve recovery. In many large oil fields water injection is initiated during the early stages of reservoir development. Exploratory wells are tested for injectivity, and injectors are tested during the field operation.

Analytical model of steam-assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) process in relation to constant injection rate

, 2020
Steam-Assisted Gravity Drainage or SAGD is a widely tested method for producing bitumen from oil sands (tar sands). Several analytical treatments of the basic process have been reported.

An on-line measurement method of injection rate of high pressure common rail system

, 2020
This paper presents a new on-line measurement method of injection rate based on the injector inlet pressure. The Riemann wave theory is applied to the fuel system, and the mathematical relationship of injection rate (G) and pressure (P) under single ...

Pore-Scale Experimental Investigation of the Supercritical CO2 Injection Rate and the Surface Wettability on Salt Precipitation.

Environmental Science and Technology, 2019
Injectivity is one of the most important factors to evaluate the feasibility of CO2 geological storage. Salt precipitation due to the mass of dry CO2 injected into the saline reservoir may cause a significant decrease in injectivity.

Effect of System Pressure and Solute Concentration on Fertilizer Injection Rate of a Venturi for Fertigation

Journal of Agricultural Engineering
Venturi injector is a commonly used device for fertilizer application through drip irrigation. The injection rate of a venturi injector mainly depends upon the suction created due to the difference between its upstream and downstream pressures.
