Evaluation the injectability of injectable microparticle delivery systems on the basis of injection force and discharged rate

European Journal of Pharmaceutics and Biopharmaceutics, 2023
Subcutaneous injection of biopharmaceutical agents or microparticles is challenging due to issues with low injection efficiency and high residual amounts. This study aimed to determine the important factors affecting the injectability of microparticle delivery systems, establish a suitable injection system with lower injection force and higher discharge

Injection rate: A factor in contrast reactions?

Clinical Radiology, 1990
A prospective study comparing the frequency of contrast reactions by the rate of contrast injection is presented. One hundred patients undergoing excretion urography with meglumine diatriazoate (18%) and sodium diatriazoate (40%) mixture (Urografin 325) were randomised into slow (mean 0.975 ml/s) and rapid (mean 2.575 ml/s) injection groups.

The Measurement of Injection Rate

Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Conference Proceedings, 1969
In order to obtain the true value of the injection rate of a diesel engine, the following processes are discussed: (1) the Tokyo Institute of Technology's revolving disc method, developed by the authors, which needs no correction, there being few errors; (2) a newly introduced unsteady flow correction method applied to pressure lift method and ...

Effect of Variable Injection Rate on Falloff and Injectivity Tests

SPE Western Regional/AAPG Pacific Section Joint Meeting, 2002
Abstract Numerous full field water-flooding projects are currently under way throughout the world to improve recovery. In many large oil fields water injection is initiated during the early stages of reservoir development. Exploratory wells are tested for injectivity, and injectors are tested during the field operation.

Measurements on Injection Rate by LDA Flow Rate Meter

SAE Technical Paper Series, 2015
<div class="section abstract"><div class="htmlview paragraph">The flow rate meter based on the Laser Doppler Anemometer (LDA) has been developed to evaluate the fuel injection rate. The flow rate meter is called as LDA flow rate meter. The instantaneous flow rate has been measured at the upstream of an injector.

Continuation Rates Among Injectable Contraceptive Users

Family Planning Perspectives, 1996
Few published data exist on the ongoing use of depot medroxyprogesterone acetate, the injectable contraceptive. Women who obtained the injectable from Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains between January 1993 and March 1995 were followed to ascertain continuation rates for the method.

Theoretical design of carrier injection rate and recombination rate in tunnel injection quantum well lasers

physica status solidi c, 2008
AbstractCarrier injection rate in tunnel injection quantum well structures used in semiconductor lasers was investigated through theoretical analysis. Carrier capture time from 3D‐state to 2D‐state in a conventional quantum well was several ten picoseconds and it is almost uncontrollable characteristics.

The influences of rate of injection upon the effects of diazoxide

THE AMERICAN JOURNAL OF THE MEDICAL SCIENCES, 1972
Diazoxide has potent inhibitory effects upon vascular smooth muscle tone, insulin secretion, natriuresis, and uric acid excretion, suggesting that its receptor site is a biochemical pathway common to the maintenance of each of these processes.

Complication Rate of Power Coronary Angiography Injection

Angiology, 1980
From 1970 to 1975, 1,498 patients underwent coronary angiography at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center via the same injection technique utilizing a Viamonte Hobbs automatic volume injector. Most institutions now perform coronary angiography by hand injections of contrast medium, and automatic power injection angiography is reserved for ventriculograms ...
