Predicting spike timings of current-injected neurons

Neural Networks, 2004
Typical neurospiking models were examined on the ability to reproduce and predict the spike sequences of a biological neuron for a variety of fluctuating currents, using a fixed set of parameter values. The predicting accuracy was found to be particularly good for the Hodgkin-Huxley models augmented with the Ca(2+)-dependent potassium current ...

Intracordal Teflon injection: a question of timing

The Journal of Laryngology & Otology, 1991
AbstractIntraeordal Teflon injection is commonly performed for recurrent laryngeal nerve palsy. It is generally agreed that injection should not be performed for a period of six months from the onset of an ‘idiopathic’ paralysis. A case is presented in which recovery occurred late, after intraeordal injection, with unfortunate results.

Real-time supervision for diesel engine injection

Control Engineering Practice, 1994
Abstract Some methods are presented which can be used for real time diagnosis of injection and combustion in turbocharged Diesel engines. Samples of the cylinder pressure, the speed signal and samples of temperature and pressure from the turbocharger contain hidden information on internal motor conditions.

A 2.4GHz sub-harmonically injection-locked PLL with self-calibrated injection timing

2012 IEEE International Solid-State Circuits Conference, 2012
A low-phase-noise integer-N phase-locked loop (PLL) is attractive in many applications, such as clock generation and analog-to-digital conversion. The sub-harmonically injection-locked technique [1–3], sub-sampling technique [4], and the multiplying delay-locked loop (MDLL) [5–8] can significantly improve the phase noise of an integer-N PLL. In the sub-

Combustion Characteristics of Methane Direct Injection Engine Under Various Injection Timings and Injection Pressures

ASME 2016 Internal Combustion Engine Division Fall Technical Conference, 2016
The performance of a methane direct injection engine was investigated under various fuel injection timings and injection pressures. A single-cylinder optical engine was used to acquire in-cylinder pressure data and flame images. An outward-opening injector was installed at the center of the cylinder head. Experimental results showed that

Time-based flow injection analysis

Analytica Chimica Acta, 1986
Abstract Time-based flow-injection systems are novel measurement systems which use induced dispersion of the sample in the system and measurement of time to evaluate the concentration of the analyte in the sample. There are two types of time-based system.

Time characteristics of heterojunction injection lasers

Soviet Journal of Quantum Electronics, 1972
An experimental investigation was made of the time characteristics of GaAs–GaxAl1–xAs injection lasers. The investigation was carried out in a wide range of temperatures and injection currents. The delay time of the coherent emission and transient processes was investigated as a function of the injection current and the diode temperature.

Load flow with time varying injections

2016 National Power Systems Conference (NPSC), 2016
Renewable sources suffer from intermittency and variability in time and amount of power, causing problems of integration with the grid. Field experience in deregulated systems has occasionally shown that increase of renewable injections such as wind, solar etc. to the main grid depresses voltages at the point of interconnection.

THECORRELATIONBETWEEN ENERGIZING, INJECTION AND DWELL TIME IN SPLIT INJECTION TECHNIQUE

Journal of Science and Technique, 2020

Quantum-well injection transit time device

SPIE Proceedings, 1992
A quantum well injection transit time (QWITT) diode has been proposed recently to improve the performance of quantum well devices incorporating the effect of transit time of carriers. Earlier, transit time devices such as IMPATT, BARITT, DOVATT, TRAPATT, TUNETT show different types of performances with certain limitations.
