Reproducibility of Splanchnic Blood Flow Measured Using Phase‐Contrast MRI

open access: yesNMR in Biomedicine, Volume 39, Issue 8, August 2026.
Splanchnic vessel blood flow assessment can describe physiology or pathophysiological conditions. Here, we assessed the variation of PC‐MRI‐determined repeated measures of blood flow in four splanchnic vessels in three populations and two MRI‐scanners. We found similar agreements with the means for both scanners and for healthy individuals and patients

Prognostic Factors for Postoperative Complications. An Aggregate Protocol for 10 Observational Studies From the Danish TRIPLE‐A Cohort of 1.2 Million Surgeries

open access: yesActa Anaesthesiologica Scandinavica, Volume 70, Issue 7, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Postoperative complications substantially increase morbidity, mortality and healthcare costs. Understanding prognostic factors is essential for risk stratification, targeted prevention strategies, and development of prediction models.

Intravitreal GD2‐Specific Chimeric Antigen Receptor T‐Cell Therapy for Refractory Retinoblastoma

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, Volume 73, Issue 7, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Effective treatments for advanced, treatment‐resistant retinoblastoma (RB) remain limited. GD2‐specific chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells show potent antitumor activity with minimal toxicity but have not previously been evaluated in RB.

Semi‐Automatic Assessment of Crohn's Disease Activity by Combined Analysis of Bowel Lesions and Creeping Fat

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 96, Issue 1, Page 302-314, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose To develop and evaluate Crohn‐BOOST, an open‐source tool enabling semi‐automatic segmentation of intestinal lesions and creeping fat on magnetic resonance enterography (MR Enterography), and to assess whether quantitative metrics derived from these segmentations relate to radiological disease activity scored with simplified MaRIA ...

Crataegus oxyacantha Extract Enhances Cardiac Adaptation and Reduces Oxidative‐Inflammatory Stress in Broiler Chickens Raised at High Altitude Under Cold Stress

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 4, July 2026.
Crataegus oxyacantha extract at 0.4 mL/L improved cardiac function in broilers under cold stress and high altitude by increasing nitric oxide synthase gene expression, boosting nitric oxide, reducing endothelin‐1 gene expression, and lowering oxidative‐inflammatory stress, offering a natural solution to mitigate pulmonary hypertension syndrome ...

Granulosa Cell Tumour in a Spayed Cat With Ovarian Remnant Syndrome and Hyperestrogenaemia Without Estrus Signs

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 4, July 2026.
Granulosa cell tumour arising from ovarian remnant tissue can occur in spayed cats without overt estrus signs, despite marked hyperestrogenaemia. In this case, CT showed a large abdominal mass contiguous with ovarian vasculature; surgery and histopathology confirmed granulosa cell tumour with hepatic metastasis.
