Agnuside Stabilizes the Complex I Assembly Factor NDUFAF6 to Reinforce Mitochondrial Efficiency and Thermogenic Responsiveness

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Brown and beige adipocytes dissipate energy as heat, yet effective strategies to enhance their mitochondrial efficiency remain limited. Here, we identify Agnuside (AGN) as a selective stabilizer of the complex I assembly factor NDUFAF6. AGN directly binds cytosolic NDUFAF6, suppresses its ubiquitination, prolongs its half‐life, and facilitates

Immunohistochemical study of hepatic fibrosis induced in rats by multiple galactosamine injections

open access: yes, 1994
Multiple injections of D-galactosamine induce liver fibrosis and cirrhosis in rats. The purpose of this immunopathological study was to correlate inflammation and hepatic extracellular matrix remodeling after repeated administration of galactosamine ...

PRMT1‐Mediated LDHA Methylation Drives STAT3 Lactylation to Orchestrate Intestinal Inflammation and Tumorigenesis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies an immunometabolic axis wherein SAM‐driven PRMT1 methylates LDHA, enhancing its activity. The resultant lactate induces STAT3 K709 lactylation, which stabilizes an active conformation to promote STAT3 phosphorylation and IL‐10 expression.

RNA Helicase DDX21 Controls CD4+ T Cell Proliferation and Promotes Inflammatory Bowel Disease via Translational Control

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is characterized by dysregulated T cell responses. RNA helicases, including DExD‐box helicase 21 (DDX21), are pivotal in RNA metabolism, but their role in T cell‐mediated pathology during IBD remains unclear. Here, we demonstrate that DDX21 expression in CD4+ T cells correlates with cell cycle and translation ...

Heme‐NO Dilates Arteries via Mobilization of NO Moieties From an Intracellular NO Store Within Vascular Smooth Muscle Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Nitrosyl heme emerges as an extracellular nitrodilator that dilates arteries without crossing the cell membrane. Instead, heme‐NO mobilizes NO moieties from a preformed intracellular NO store within vascular smooth muscle, providing both functional and chemical evidence for the NANOS model, revealing a previously unrecognized mechanism of arterial ...

Does the administration route of leucovorin have any influence on the impairment of colonic healing caused by intraperitoneal 5-fluorouracil treatment?

open access: yes, 2001
Intraperitoneal chemotherapy with li-fluorouracil (5-FU) is a new, promising alternative in adjuvant treatment of advanced colorectal cancer. Leucovorin (LV), a biomodulator of 5-FU, potentiates the antineoplastic effect of 5-FU.

PET Imaging of Cardiac Inflammation in Viral Myocarditis Using a DPP4‐Targeted Probe

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study describes a DPP4‐targeted PET probe for imaging myocardial inflammation by selectively targeting activated immune cells. Derived from the clinically approved small‐molecule inhibitor linagliptin, the probe demonstrates favorable biodistribution with specific cardiac uptake in myocarditis.
