Metabolism of Intraperitoneally Injected Serum Protein.
Two groups of 10 albino rats with identical average body weights were selected. For 2 days they were given no food. On the morning and evening of each day 12 cc of 6.4% dextrose in 0.9% sodium chloride was injected into the peritoneal cavities of the controls while to the experimental group an injection of 12 cc of freshly separated serum obtained from

This study presents a new biodegradable coating for titanium implants using a natural antimicrobial peptide, caerin 1.9. Applied via solvent casting, the coating offers sustained antibacterial protection and promotes healing. Tested on 3D‐printed porous titanium scaffolds, it effectively prevented infection—including against resistant bacteria—while ...

Evaluation of the Immunosafety of Cucurbit[n]uril In Vivo
Cucurbiturils are a family of macrocyclic oligomers capable of forming host–guest complexes with various molecules. Due to noncovalent binding to drug molecules and low toxicity, cucurbiturils has been extensively investigated as potential carriers for ...

We demonstrated that high humidity worsened psoriasis relapse in murine psoriasiform skin inflammation by increasing skin‐resident memory CD8+ cells via upregulating IL‐15Rα on keratinocytes. The increases in IL‐15Rα and memory CD8+ cells were attributed to S. nepalensis and its metabolite ADMA in skin exposed to high humidity.

Pre‐Encoded IFN‐I Sensitivity Exacerbates Memory T Cell Senescence in Solid Tumors
Type I interferon (IFN‐I) signaling promotes p21‐dependent cell cycle arrest in senescent tumor‐specific memory T cells, resulting in poor proliferative responses and solid tumor regression during cancer vaccination. Conversely, IFNα/β receptor blockade reinvigorates T cell proliferation to regress solid tumors and is more effective with increasing ...

The effects of environmental stress on the physiology of growth in rainbow trout, Salmo gairderi Richardson [PDF]
There is little doubt that both mammalian and teleost growth hormones can accelerate growth and increase food conversion efficiency in all commonly-reared species of salmonid fish.
