Injectable Cartilage

Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, 1995
Slowly polymerizing calcium alginate gels were investigated as a means of delivering large numbers of isolated chondrocytes by means of injection to determine if these gels would promote engraftment and could provide three-dimensional templates for new cartilage growth.

Injection laryngoplasty

Otolaryngologic Clinics of North America, 2004
After a nearly a century of development, augmentation of laryngeal tissue through injection remains as complex a procedure as it was in the earlier part of the century. Initially, the number of surgeons performing injection laryngoplasty was limited since the technique of injection was thought to be difficult and the selection of cases was thought to ...

Injectables in the prostate

Current Opinion in Urology, 2008
Benign prostatic hyperplasia with associated symptoms and morbidity is increasingly common among aging men. Medical treatment of lower urinary tract symptoms is the mainstay of therapy with progressive disease requiring more invasive intervention. Transurethral resection of the prostate remains a widely applied gold standard therapy. Numerous minimally

Injectable bone

British Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, 2003
Temperature-dependent polymerising polyethylene oxide hydrogel was used as a vehicle to deliver bone marrow mesenchymal cells by injection in six nude mice, four mice acting as controls, to study generation of new bone in the cell-hydrogel complex. Mesenchymal cells were harvested by in vitro cell culture, and cells were seeded into polyethylene oxide ...

ON #-INJECTIVE COMPLEXES

Journal of Algebra and Its Applications, 2012
A complex C of R-modules is called #-injective if all terms Ci are injective R-modules for i ∈ ℤ. In this paper, we first give some characterizations and properties of #-injective complexes. Some relations between #-injective (pre)envelopes of a complex X and injective (pre)envelopes of the R-modules Xi are also given.

On Divisibility and Injectivity

Canadian Journal of Mathematics, 1966
In the category of abelian groups the concepts of divisible group and injective group coincide. In (4) this is generalized to modules over an integral domain and it is proved for a (commutative) integral domain that the concepts of divisible module and injective module coincide if and only if the ring is hereditary if and only if the ring is a Dedekind

On Self-Injectivity and p-Injectivity

2011
A generalization of injectivity is studied and several properties are developed. Von Neumann regular rings are characterized. Sufficient conditions are given for a ring to admit a strongly regular classical left quotient ring. A nice characterization of strongly regular rings is given.
