Pressure Distribution on the Inner Wall of the Volute Casing of a Centrifugal Pump

open access: yesScience and Technology of Nuclear Installations, 2022
In order to grasp the distribution characteristics of the pressure field on the inner wall of the volute casing of an atypical open impeller centrifugal pump, the instantaneous pressure at different operating conditions was experimentally measured under ...

Repulsion of the Futsal Ball Depending on the Pressure in it [PDF]

open access: yesSport Mont, 2018
The aim of this research is to determine the elastic (repulsive) properties of the futsal ball depending on the air pressure in it. Futsal ball of standard dimensions was released on the fl at solid surface from the height of nine meters for four times.

Sensitivity of piezoresistive pressure sensor with inner diaphragm [PDF]

open access: yes2017 IEEE Asia Pacific Conference on Postgraduate Research in Microelectronics and Electronics (PrimeAsia), 2017
This paper emphasizes the optimization of piezoresistive pressure sensor. The proposed design is to implement inner diaphragm to increase the sensitivity of the sensor. Comparison between the original design and proposed design is made. The adjustment and performance of the proposed design are also discussed.

Experimental Study of the Dynamic Tensile Mechanical Properties of a Coal Sandstone Disc with a Central Hole

open access: yesAdvances in Civil Engineering, 2020
Deep mine rocks are often subjected to rock burst induced by dynamic load. The existence of initial holes will reduce the mechanical properties of rocks and affect the stability and safety of the tunnel excavating.

Fluid-solid coupling model and biological features of large vestibular aqueduct syndrome

open access: yesFrontiers in Bioengineering and Biotechnology, 2023
Objective: Computed tomography (CT) images of the temporal bone of large vestibular aqueduct syndrome (LVAS) patients were used to establish 3D numerical models based on the structure of the inner ear, which are, in turn, used to construct inner ear ...

Closed Hypersurfaces Driven by Mean Curvature and Inner Pressure [PDF]

open access: yesCommunications on Pure and Applied Mathematics, 2012
AbstractWe introduce a hyperbolic equation that describes the motion of closed hypersurfaces in a Riemannian manifold with surface tension and inner pressure as driving forces. In the case of spherical surfaces this equation can be considered as an idealized mathematical model for a moving soap bubble.

Measurement of tensile strength of well cement sheath in underground gas storage based on tensile failure method

open access: yesEngineering Reports
During gas injection in gas storage, the inner pressure increase, potentially leading to tensile failure of the cement sheath. At present, the fracture strength of cement stone is measured using the Brazilian splitting method (BSM), which is prone to ...

Detecting Intralabyrinthine Pressure Increase by Postural Manipulation with Wideband Tympanometry and Distortion Product Otoacoustic Emissions

open access: yesTurkish Archives of Otorhinolaryngology, 2020
Objective: Intracranial pressure increase is known to affect inner ear pressure through the cochlear and vestibular aqueducts. This finding forms a good model for inner ear pressure studies.

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.
