An inexpensive industrial refrigerant, HFO‐1234ze, is transformed into a versatile fluoroalkyl building block via a scalable, solvent‐free protocol. Utilizing the metal‐free photocatalyst 4CzIPN, efficient visible‐light‐induced radical addition to alkynes reveals distinct, substrate‐dependent stereoselectivities.
