Immunomodulatory and neuroprotective effects of inosine
Trends in Pharmacological Sciences, 2004Abstract Adenosine has been considered as a potential immunomodulatory and neuroprotective agent for 30 years. Inosine, a major degradation product of adenosine, was thought originally to have no biological effects. However, recent studies demonstrate that inosine has potent immunomodulatory and neuroprotective effects.

Inosine-coated bacteriophage T4
Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Nucleic Acids and Protein Synthesis, 1971Abstract A method for the preparation of inosine-bacteriophage T 4 conjugate is described, based on opening the C-2′–C-3′ bond in the ribose moiety of inosine with NaIO 4 , reacting the product with bacteriophage T 4 , and stabilizing the bond formed by reduction with NaBH 3 .
