Heavy metal-nucleotide interactions. 8. Binding of cis-diammineplatinum(II) and ethylenediamineplatinum(II) to inosine, 1-methylinosine, and 5'-inosine monophosphate in aqueous solution

Journal of the American Chemical Society, 1976
The bifunctional electrophiles cis-diammineplatinum(II) and ethylenediamineplatinum(II) form stable complexes with inosine, 1-methylinosine, and 5'-inosine monophosphate over a wide range of pH. These reactions have been characterized primarily through Raman spectrophotometry and /sup 1/H NMR spectroscopy of solutions containing 25 mM nucleoside or ...

Inosin‐N(1)‐oxid‐Nucleotide als Komplexbildner II. Aciditätskonstanten von Inosin‐N(1)‐oxid und von dessen 5′‐Monophosphat

Helvetica Chimica Acta, 1965
AbstractA method is derived for the determination of acidity constants of ligands with two non‐identical acidic groups of similar acidity for the case of no interaction between these two groups. By this method the acidity constants of inosine‐5′‐monophosphate N(1)‐oxide are found to be pK = 5,43 and pK = 6,31.

Effects of inosine on cardiac adenine nucleotide metabolism in rats.

Advances in myocardiology, 1985
Inosine was administered as a continuous intravenous infusion (100 mg/kg per hr) in rats treated with isoproterenol (25 mg/kg, s.c.). After 24 hr, the isoproterenol-induced decline in myocardial ATP and total adenine nucleotides was attenuated by inosine. Infusion of ribose (100 mg/kg per hr) had a similar cardioprotective influence.

Inosin‐N(1)‐oxid‐Nucleotide als Komplexbildner III. Komplexchemische Untersuchungen von Inosin‐N(1)‐oxid und von dessen 5′‐Monophosphat

Helvetica Chimica Acta, 1965
AbstractStability constants of metal ion complexes, in which the metal ion is bonded to the o‐hydroxy‐N‐oxide ligand group of inosine N(1)‐oxide and inosine N(1)‐oxide 5′‐monophosphate, have been measured. The distribution of some bivalent metal ions between o‐hydroxy‐N‐oxide and phosphate ligand groups of inosine N(1)‐oxide 5′‐monophosphate has been ...

Nucleoside and Nucleotide Inhibitors of Inosine Monophosphate (IMP) Dehydrogenase as Potential Antitumor Inhibitors

Nucleosides and Nucleotides, 1982
Abstract A review of various nucleoside and nucleotide inhibitors of IMP dehydrogenase suggests that such inhibitors may also exhibit significant antitumor effects. The details of the precise mode of action and structure activity relationships remain to be established.
