A Comparative Study to Measure the Insecticides Diazinon and Vapona ( Nogos ) on Some Soil Fungi in Vitro [PDF]

open access: yesAl-Qadisiyah Journal For Agriculture Sciences, 2013
Four fungi ,have been isolated from the rhizosphere of Viccia faba in the AL-Qadisiya District fields , were selected for their variable resistance to toxic insecticide Diazinon at the range of ( 0.2 , 0.4 and 0.6 )ppm concentration where the (

A Testis‐Specific Aralkylamine N‐Acetyltransferase Regulates Dimorphic Sperm Function and Male Fertility in Moths

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We identify a Lepidoptera‐conserved testis‐specific arylalkylamine N‐acetyltransferase (LTNAT) that governs male moth fertility via a novel mechanism. LTNAT loss disrupts eupyrene sperm mitochondrial derivatives and impairs apyrene sperm motility, offering a safe molecular target for innovative pesticides and genetic pest control.

Seasonal distribution of multiclass pesticide residues in the surface waters of northwest Croatia

open access: yesArhiv za Higijenu Rada i Toksikologiju, 2021
As part of our OPENTOX project, we evaluated the incidence and mass concentrations of multiclass pesticide residues in 23 river/stream water samples collected in urban and agricultural areas of northwest Croatia at various points of the pesticide ...

Monitoring resistance of Cydia pomonella (L.) Spanish field populations to new chemical insecticides and the mechanisms involved [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
BACKGROUND: A widespread resistance of Cydia pomonella to organophosphates was demonstrated in populations from the Spanish Ebro Valley area that showed high levels of enzymatic detoxification.

Diversity of Pharmaceuticals Enhances Antibiotic Resistance in the Invertebrate Gut via Biofilm‐Mediated Mechanisms

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Pharmaceutical diversity acts as an independent driver of antibiotic resistance in soil invertebrates. While bulk soil remains unaffected, the collembolan gut microbiome exhibits significant resistance gene enrichment under complex chemical exposure and diurnal warming.

Multi‐Targeting Non‐Specific Genome Engineering in Bacteria

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this study, we provide the first case to use the multi‐targeting integrase (MTI) systems in bacteria and develop a host‐independent generalizable approach, MNGE (Multi‐targeting Non‐specific Genome Engineering), for multi‐copy and random integration of metabolic genes or pathways in both Gram‐positive and Gram‐negative bacteria, which will ...
