Development and Validation of an Algorithm to Objectively Quantify Adherence to Offloading Interventions

open access: yesJournal of Foot and Ankle Research, Volume 19, Issue 2, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Diabetic foot ulcers require offloading for healing. However, adherence with removable offloading devices is often poor. Prior objective measures of adherence yielded important behavioral insights, despite substantial methodological limitations.

Comparison of Body Surface Area and Optimized Multivariate Allometric Model Approaches in Correcting Echocardiographic Aortic Dimensions for Physiological Variances: An International and Multicenter Study (CITED I)

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 6, June 2026.
Ao‐a, Ao‐s, and Ao‐asc were measured by echocardiography in 1820 gender‐ and age‐matched Chinese and Italian healthy adults. Correction equations based on an optimized multivariate allometric model (OMAM) and BSA approaches were constructed in group A and tested in group B at a ratio of 7:3.

Morphometric Assessment for Functional Evaluation of Coronary Stenosis With Intravascular Ultrasound and Ultrasonic Flow Ratio in Vessels With a Single Stenosis

open access: yesMedicine Advances, Volume 4, Issue 2, Page 150-163, June 2026.
This developed a morphometric assessment for functional evaluation of coronary stenosis with intravascular ultrasound and ultrasonic flow ratio in vessels with single stenosis; the results demonstrated ultrasonic flow ratio (UFR) has a good correlation with the Murray law‐based quantitative flow ratio (uQFR).

Comparable Diagnostic Accuracy but Discordant Thresholds Between FibroTouch and FibroScan: A Biopsy‐Based Comparative Study

open access: yesPortal Hypertension &Cirrhosis, Volume 5, Issue 2, Page 129-139, June 2026.
In this biopsy‐controlled study, FibroTouch and FibroScan demonstrated comparable diagnostic accuracy for liver fibrosis staging (AUROCs > 0.900), but FibroTouch required consistently higher stiffness thresholds. These discrepancies were more pronounced in patients with MAFLD, highlighting the need for device‐specific cutoffs to avoid misclassification.

Role of novel automated methods in pulse signal analysis to screen for sleep‐disordered breathing among patients on chronotropic medications

open access: yesSleep Research, Volume 3, Issue 2, Page 98-107, June 2026.
Abstract Study objectives To investigate the use of automated analysis to detect heart rate accelerations (HRAs) to screen for sleep‐disordered breathing (SDB) among patients who use chronotropic medications. Methods Nocturnal polysomnography (NPSG) recordings from 933 participants in the Sleep Heart Health Study were analyzed using an automated method

Exploring hemodynamic alterations in gastroschisis: insights into fetal growth restriction using prenatal MRI

open access: yesUltrasound in Obstetrics &Gynecology, Volume 67, Issue 6, Page 795-805, June 2026.
Abstract Objective Despite the high incidence of fetal growth restriction (FGR) in gastroschisis (GS) associated with placental fetal vascular malperfusion (FVM), the underlying mechanism remains unclear. We aimed to investigate whether umbilical vein (UV) stenosis at the abdominal wall defect impairs fetoplacental circulation, leading to FGR.
