Evaluating the impact of an AI‐powered chatbot on epilepsy education and stigma reduction: A pre‐post intervention study using EpiloBot

open access: yesEpilepsia Open, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective Effective epilepsy management requires accurate epilepsy knowledge, active patient engagement, and stigma reduction to improve health outcomes. Educational interventions have been shown to enhance patients' quality of life (QOL) and knowledge. This study evaluated the effectiveness of EpiloBot, an artificial intelligence (AI)‐powered

Multi‐Hazard Shaking‐Tsunami Fatality Risk Estimation for Coastal Communities

open access: yesEarthquake Engineering &Structural Dynamics, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study develops a multi‐hazard fatality risk model for a coastal community (Tofino) on Vancouver Island, Canada, subjected to earthquake‐tsunami threats from the Cascadia subduction megathrust events. The model incorporates variable population distributions and uncertain fatality rate models, in addition to other key model components, such

A Review of Overcurrent Protection in Smart Grids Under Cyber‐Physical Threats With a Cyber‐Physical Evaluation Framework

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
By manipulating current and voltage measurements, an assailant can induce unwanted relay action while attempting to avoid detection. Detecting advanced cyber intrusions in power protection environments requires specialised data analysis and anomaly detection methods.

Graph Neural Network‐Based Prediction of Building Energy Consumption

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
A graph neural network that encodes a multi‐zone building as a graph accurately predicts hourly cooling and heating loads across three distinct climates, outperforming Random Forest and XGBoost baselines and serving as a fast surrogate to EnergyPlus simulations for scalable building energy management.
