Equality as Enactment: An Institutional Approach
The point of departure for this paper is Anne Phillips’ concept of equality as enactment. I identify two interpretations hereof. The first emphasizes immediate enactment but neglects the role of mediating institutions. This, I contend, severely limits its political effectiveness.
