A Search for Water in the Atmosphere of HAT-P-26b Using LDSS-3C [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
The characterization of a physically-diverse set of transiting exoplanets is an important and necessary step towards establishing the physical properties linked to the production of obscuring clouds or hazes.

Universal conveyor instrumentation amplifier

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 1989
A new instrumentation amplifier based on the use of current conveyors is proposed that exhibits a high common-mode rejection ratio without the need for any resistor matching. High differential gains and wide bandwidths are available simultaneously without compromise for both voltage and current inputs.

Tumor‐stromal crosstalk and macrophage enrichment are associated with chemotherapy response in bladder cancer

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Chemoresistance in bladder cancer: Macrophage recruitment associated with CXCL1, CXCL5 and CXCL8 expression is characteristic of Gemcitabine/Cisplatin (Gem/Cis) Non‐Responder tumors (right side) while Responder tumors did not show substantial tumor‐stromal crosstalk (left side). All biological icons are attributed to Bioicons: carcinoma, cancerous‐cell‐

Low-power wide-bandwidth CMOS indirect current feedback instrumentation amplifier

open access: yesAEU - International Journal of Electronics and Communications, 2020
The analysis and design trade-offs of a simple and economical technique to implement wideband low-voltage CMOS instrumentation amplifiers (IAs) based on indirect current feedback (ICF), are described.

Polarization‐resolved femtosecond Vis/IR spectroscopy tailored for resolving weak signals in biological samples using minimal sample volume

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Unique biological samples, such as site‐specific mutant proteins, are available only in limited quantities. Here, we present a polarization‐resolved transient infrared spectroscopy setup with referencing to improve signal‐to‐noise tailored towards tracing small signals. We provide an overview of characterizing the excitation conditions for polarization‐

INTERFACE ADAPTATION DESIGN FOR EXTRACELLULAR RECORDINGS FROM EXCITABLE TISSUE

open access: yesJournal of Engineering Science (Chişinău)
For a clear and almost exhaustive perspective on the physiology of living organisms, it is important to use the best method to sample the signal and to process it correctly, without affecting the content of information.

Differential regulation of ZFAS1 splice variants by endoplasmic reticulum stress in hepatocyte cell lines

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
ZFAS1 is a lncRNA promoting cell proliferation and migration, exhibiting high expression in various cancers. It is conserved, widely expressed, and produces multiple splice variants with unclear roles. We identified several splice variants in hepatocyte models, and found that inhibiting or suppressing regulators of the unfolded protein response (PERK ...
