Digital programmable instrumentation amplifier

open access: yes, 2021
The subject matter of study in the article is schematic solutions of instrumentation amplifiers with a programmable gain for applied solutions. The goal is the creation of the circuitry that implements a programmable instrumentation amplifier that combines the advantages of already-known solutions with the possibility of setting the necessary gain ...

High Frame-rate Imaging Based Photometry, Photometric Reduction of Data from Electron-multiplying Charge Coupled Devices (EMCCDs) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The EMCCD is a type of CCD that delivers fast readout times and negligible readout noise, making it an ideal detector for high frame rate applications which improve resolution, like lucky imaging or shift-and-add.

Dual PI3K/AKT and CDK4/6 inhibition reveals selective sensitivity in an SHH medulloblastoma stem cell model

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Targeted therapy was evaluated in SHH medulloblastoma using neuroepithelial stem cell (NES) and tumor‐derived NES‐like (tNES) models in 2D monolayers and 3D spheroids. PI3K, AKT, and CDK4/6 inhibitors had minimal effects in NES but markedly reduced viability and growth and induced apoptosis in tNES cells, revealing distinct therapeutic vulnerabilities.

A Modified Bipolar Translinear Cell with Improved Linear Range and Its Applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
This paper presents a technique to extend the linear input voltage range of a sinh mixed translinear cell proposed by Fabre [1]. This technique extends the linear operation range of the circuit by inserting common-anode-connected pairs into the mixed ...

Hippo pathway at the crossroads of stemness and therapeutic resistance in breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Dysregulation of the Hippo pathway drives nuclear accumulation of YAP/TAZ, activating stemness‐related transcriptional programs that sustain breast cancer stemness and fuel therapeutic resistance across subtypes, underscoring Hippo signaling as a targetable vulnerability. Figure created and edited with BioRender.com.

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

A virtual lock-in amplifier, spectrum analyzer, impedance meter and semiconductor analyzer implemented on an SR7265 hardware target

open access: yesJournal of Measurement Science and Instrumentation, 2018
Lock-in amplifiers are used to detect and measure very small alternating current(AC)signals down to the range of nVs.Accurate measurements can be made even when the small signals are buried by noise thousands of times larger. With the digital signal ...

Toward Long Range Detection of Elephants Using Seismic Signals: A Geophone-Sensor Interface for Embedded Systems

open access: yesIEEE Access
The long-distance detection of the presence of elephants is pivotal to addressing the human-elephant conflict. IoT-based solutions utilizing seismic signals originating from the movement of elephants are a novel approach to solving this problem.

Automatic quadrature control and measuring system [PDF]

open access: yes, 1973
Quadrature is separated from amplified signal by use of phase detector, with phase shifter providing appropriate reference. Output of phase detector is further amplified and filtered by dc amplifier.
