Signal Integrity and Power Integrity [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Electromagnetic Compatibility Magazine, 2020
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought many changes. Among them, virtual conferences may become a new norm, or at least an important element for future technical symposia. Although we miss the opportunities to socialize with our colleagues and discuss issues face-to-face, virtual conferences can present different, yet still enjoyable, experiences and allow ...

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

On the variational structure of breather solutions II: periodic mKdV equation

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2017
We study the periodic modified KdV equation, where a periodic in space and time breather solution is known from the work of Kevrekidis et al.\ [19]. We show that these breathers satisfy a suitable elliptic equation, and we also discuss via numerics ...

Linking neurogenesis, oligodendrogenesis, and myelination defects to neurodevelopmental disruption in primary mitochondrial disorders

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Mitochondrial remodeling shapes neural and glial lineage progression by matching metabolic supply with demand. Elevated OXPHOS supports differentiation and myelin formation, while myelin compaction lowers mitochondrial dependence, revealing mitochondria as key drivers of developmental energy adaptation.

Rational Involutions and an Application to Planar Systems of ODE

open access: yesMathematics
An involution refers to a function that acts as its own inverse. In this paper, our focus lies on exploring two-dimensional involutive maps defined by rational functions.

Integrability of a Generalized Ito System: the Painleve Test

open access: yes, 2001
It is shown that a generalized Ito system of four coupled nonlinear evolution equations passes the Painleve test for integrability in five distinct cases, of which two were introduced recently by Tam, Hu and Wang.

Adaptive Integration and Improper Integrals [PDF]

open access: yesMathematics of Computation, 1975
Let R be the class of all functions that are properly Riemann-integrable on [0, 1], and let IR be the class of all functions that are properly Riemann-integrable on [a, 1] for all a > 0 a > 0 and for which \[ lim a →

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.
